고등학교 중국어 수업에서의 역할극 지도 방안

Abstract

The ultimate goal of Chinese Education for High school students in Korea is to understand spoken language and to express what they think in daily life. The Seventh National Curriculum aimed not only to make students interested in Chinese but also to stimulate their curiosity and sensibility by maximizing exposure to authentic situations. Therefore, the most important thing in speaking Chinese for them is not to lose interest and to gain confidence. For these purposes, role-play exercises are a good way to get used to real situations as well as to gain communicative competence while increasing students' interest. This study aimed to develop the effective Chinese teaching methods through role-play in Chinese classroom at high school. This study consists of five chapters. : Chapter one deals with the necessity and purpose of the study. Chapter two surveys the theoretical background of role plays. Chapter three presents an experiment using role-plays for Korean high school students in Chinese classroom. Chapter four devises the Chinese class model of role play for improving a communicative competence, presents the systematic methods of a guidance and examples following the model and suggests matters to be attended to the class to use role play activities and to be improved. Chapter five concludes the study and provides suggestions. Results of the study are the following. : (1) Role play has learners practice a situational utterance by providing the particular situation that needs communication. (2) Role play activities have an effect of stimulating students' interest and creativity in Chinese class. (3) Learners can build confidence in Chinese through role play activities. (4) Learners improve the techniques of personal relation and understanding the motivation one another by learning role play. This study calls for further research in developing a variety of role plays for students to practice Chinese more naturally. I hope that this study can help many Chinese teachers and learners.;2007년 2월에 발표된 7차 교육과정 개정안에서 외국어 교육이 지향하는 바는 기존 7차 교육과정과 마찬가지로 의사소통이다. 개정안에 따르면 학생들은 ‘중국어 수업을 통해 중국어에 대한 관심과 기본적인 의사소통 능력을 토대로 중국인들이 일상생활과 관련된 문화를 이해하고, 이를 통해 중국을 폭넓게 이해함으로써 국제사회의 주역으로 성장할 수 있는 자질을 함양할 수 있다’라고 하였다. 그러나 중국어는 고등학교 교육과정에서 선택과목으로서 의사소통기능을 완벽히 숙지시키기에는 현실적 어려움이 많다. 과밀학급 문제와 수업시수의 부족이라는 현실적 제약은 의사소통능력 향상을 저해하는 요인으로 작용한다. 따라서 중국어 수업의 관건은 이러한 제한적인 교실 상황을 극복할 수 있는 다양한 교수-학습 방법을 모색하는 것이다. 역할극은 의사소통능력을 성공적으로 향상시키는 활동 가운데 매우 효과적인 교육방법 중의 하나로서 이미 많은 연구를 통해 그 효과를 인정받고 있다. 이러한 역할극을 교실 중국어에 도입하는 것은 유의미한 작업이라 생각한다. 따라서 본 연구는 고등학교 중국어 수업에서 학생들의 의사소통 능력을 진작시키기 위한 역할극 활동의 효과적인 지도 방안을 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 이를 실제 수업에 적용해보고 지도 결과를 분석한 후 이를 통해 효과적인 역할극 학습 모형을 제시하고자 한다. 제Ⅱ장에서는 관련 연구 저서와 논문을 참고로 한 문헌연구를 통하여 역할극의 개념과 유형을 정리하고, 고등학교 중국어 수업에서의 역할극은 어떠한 유형이 적합한지를 고찰하고자 한다. 그리고 대표적인 역할극 학습모형을 알아봄으로써 고등학교 중국어 수업에 적합한 역할극 교수-학습 모형을 설계하는데 참고하고자 한다. 제 Ⅲ장에서는 본 연구자가 교생실습기간 동안 실제로 역할극을 지도한 내용을 바탕으로 고등학교 중국어 수업에서의 역할극 활용 방안과 그 적용결과를 살펴보았다. 실습기간 동안 2차시에 걸쳐 진행한 역할극 수업의 지도방안과 학습지도안을 제시하고, 그 지도결과를 분석하였다. 역할극 전 활동 과정에서의 참여도와 이해도, 작성한 역할극 대본, 역할극 최종 실연 능력 등을 평가기준을 토대로 상, 중, 하로 평가하였다. 아울러 역할극 수업을 종료한 후 학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 평소 중국어에 대한 태도 및 흥미, 역할극 활동에 대한 평가를 조사하였다. 제 Ⅳ장에서는 실제 지도 결과를 토대로 효과적인 역할극 교수-학습 모형을 설계해 보았다. 또한 실제 역할극 수업을 지도할 때 유의해야 할 사항을 제시하였다. 이와 같이 본고에서는 고등학교 중국어 수업에서의 효과적인 역할극 지도방안을 연구하였다. 앞으로 중국어 교과에서도 역할극에 대한 체계적이고 실제적인 연구를 통해 현실상황에 적합한 효율적인 교수-학습 자료의 개발이 지속적으로 이루어지길 기대한다.
