문학 텍스트를 활용한 중국어 읽기 능력 향상 방안 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to study the usefulness of literary texts as language teaching material in Chinese class and to find out the effective teaching method to improve reading comprehension ability through literary texts. Korean students who learn Chinese as a foreign language seldom have the opportunity to speak Chinese except during the Chinese class, and Chinese is taught mainly in the written mode by the teachers. Most of the scholastic ability test items are the reading comprehension. So, the reading comprehension ability is very important to Korean students. Therefore, to improve the students' reading ability, it is necessary that the students should understand what reading comprehension is about and how it can be taught effectively. Among many kinds of reading materials, literary texts have been considered to play an effective role in teaching foreign language. Literature has many benefits in the chinese classes. First, literary works are valuable authentic materials and, therefore, literary texts make it possible to internalize the grammar and work out the meaning of words from their context. Second, the experience of literature in one language can lead to the acquisition of other languages and their cultures. Third, literary texts provide a genuine context which encourages foreign language learners to communicate. A meaningful context can serve as a necessary stimulus to motivate the students to speech. Fourth, through studying literary works, students can reflect on their own experiences. Teachers can help students gain a deeper feeling for literature as a subject and for the language use in literature. However, the success of Chinese language education using literature depends on some preconditions, which have something to do with the selection of texts, the language proficiency of the student, teaching methods and the teachers' role. Among other genres, students especially seem to prefer san-wen[散文], for they are relatively easy and have a practical length. They can also give students the feeling of achievement much sooner. They can offer more various themes than other genres. In order to present an effective teaching model of san-wen[散文], this thesis shows example for teaching san-wen [散文] in a Chinese language classroom.;중국어 교육이 효과적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 듣기, 읽기, 말하기, 쓰기의 4기능이 골고루 갖춰져 있어야 하지만, 우리나라의 상황에서 가장 효율적으로 접근할 수 있는 언어 능력은 읽기 능력이다. 읽기 교육이 효율적으로 이루어지면, 이를 기초로 다른 언어 기능의 기초가 될 수 있고, 다양한 언어활용의 자원이 될 수 있다. 효과적인 중국어 읽기 교육을 하기 위해서는 학습자의 어휘 수준에 맞고 흥미를 유발할 수 있는 읽기 자료의 선택, 교사의 읽기 전략에 대한 교육방법 등이 중요한 요소이다. 그동안 중국어 교육 현장에서는 이러한 요소를 충분히 고려하지 않았고, 읽기 자료들도 보다 체계적으로 투입되지 못한 감이 있다. 이에 본고에서는 중국어 읽기 자료로서의 중국문학 텍스트의 활용 방법에 대해 살펴보았다. 중국어 학습 현장에서 단순한 언어교육만을 위해 조작된 자료가 아닌, 실질적이고 폭넓은 맥락 속에서 지식과 경험을 제공해 줄 수 있는 진정성 있는 학습자료가 필요하다. 문학 작품은 문화적, 언어적으로 풍부하고 실제적인 맥락을 포함하고 있어 학습자의 중국 문화의 이해를 높이는데 도움을 준다. 또한 문학 작품 읽기를 통해서 얻게 되는 다양한 간접경험은 학습자에게 즐거움을 주고 정서함양에도 도움이 된다. 본고의 Ⅱ장에서는 문학 작품을 수업에서 활용할 때 작품 선정에서 고려해야 할 일반적인 전제조건 및 유의점을 살펴보았다. 문학 작품을 선정할 때는 학습자의 언어적 수준, 작품의 주제, 난이도, 창작시기, 장르, 길이 등을 고려해야 한다. 문학 텍스트의 특징을 충분히 살려 읽을 때에 통합적인 언어교육이 가능해 지며, 언어에 대한 지식과 규칙을 자연스럽게 터득할 수 있다. Ⅲ장에서는 문학 작품을 활용한 중국어 읽기 능력 신장 방안에 대해 살펴보았다. 문학 장르별, 읽기 유형별로 다양한 읽기 지도 방법에 대해 제시하였다. Ⅳ장에서는 문학 작품 선정시 고려해야할 일반적인 전제조건 및 유의점을 토대로 선정기준에 따라 중국 산문 작품을 10작품을 선정하여 주제와 난이도를 분석하고, 한 작품을 선정하여 실제 학습 지도안을 제시하였다.
