중국어 어휘 학습 전략 활용 실태 분석을 통한 지도 방안 설계

Abstract

언어 교수학습에 있어 어휘는 의사소통의 질을 결정하는 핵심요소이다. 하지만 한 언어의 어휘의 수는 방대하기 때문에 교과과정 속에서 가장 효과적인 어휘 지도 방안으로 어휘 교수학습을 진행한다 하더라도 주어진 시간과 다룰 수 있는 어휘의 양에는 한계가 있기 마련이다. 이에 중국어 학습자들의 보다 성공적인 어휘 학습을 위해 어휘 학습 전략의 지도가 필요하다. 본 논문은 이러한 전략 지도의 필요성에 대한 인식에서 출발하였으며, 어휘 학습 전략 지도를 통해 학습자들이 자율적인 어휘 학습을 진행할 수 있도록 하는 것을 궁극적인 목표로 한다. 이러한 목적 아래, 본 연구는 다음과 같은 절차로 진행되었다. 제 Ⅰ장에서는 본 연구의 필요성 및 목적, 연구 내용 그리고 선행연구에 대하여 서술하였다. 제 Ⅱ장에서는 먼저 제 1절에서 중국어 어휘의 특징과 이러한 특징을 고려한 중국어 어휘 교수학습의 임무와 원칙을 제시하였고, 제 2절에서는 어휘 학습 전략의 개념과 어휘 학습 전략 지도의 필요성에 대해 논했으며, 어휘 학습 전략의 분류 및 유형과 어휘 학습 전략 활용에 있어 영향을 미치는 요인에 대해 살펴보았다. 제 Ⅲ장에서는 중국어 학습자들의 어휘 학습에 대한 인식과 태도 그리고 중국어 학습자들이 활용하고 있는 어휘 학습 전략은 어떤 것인지, 학습자의 학습 유형별, 어휘 수준별 전략 활용에 있어서 어떠한 차이가 있는지에 대해 설문 조사를 통해 실태 분석을 하고 그 결과를 서술하였다. 제 Ⅳ장에서는 제 Ⅲ장에서 이루어진 조사 분석 결과를 토대로, 학습자들에게 지도가 필요한 어휘 학습 전략 유형을 선별하여 학습자들의 어휘 학습이 보다 효과적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 전략별 지도방안을 제시하였다. 중국어 교육에 있어서 어휘 학습 전략 지도에 대한 연구는 아직 많이 미비하다. 외국어 학습에 있어서 의사소통 능력이 중요해지고 그에 따라 어휘 학습에 대한 중요성에 대한 인식 또한 높아진 만큼, 중국어 학습자가 보다 능동적이고 효과적으로 어휘 학습을 진행할 수 있도록 중국어 어휘 학습 전략 지도에 있어서 중국어 특징을 고려한 여러 방법적인 측면에서 체계적인 연구가 지속적으로 이루어지기를 기대한다.;This study started from the awakening that instruction in vocabulary learning strategies is very necessary for students to learn vocabulary more successfully. And the ultimate goal is to have students do self-directed vocabulary learning. This research was performed as the following processes. Chapter Ⅰ explains the purpose, contents, and related literature of this study. Chapter Ⅱ deals with about vocabulary learning strategies in Chinese language education. The section 1 presents the characteristics of Chinese vocabulary and the missions and principles of Chinese vocabulary instruction considering those characteristics. The section 2 proposes what concept of vocabulary learning strategy is and why teaching vocabulary learning strategies is necessary, and also reviews the classification of vocabulary learning strategies and the factors having an effect on practical use of vocabulary learning strategies. The chapter III analyzes the realities about various facts through surveys regarding recognition and attitude to vocabulary learning by Chinese language learners, what are the strategies employed by the learners, and what are their differences among categories of their learning style and levels of their vocabulary, and summarizes their results. Chapter Ⅳ selects some categories of vocabulary learning strategies which consider being necessary to teach, based on the above mentioned results of analyzing survey in chapter Ⅲ and suggests the instruction models of each strategy category. Yet far insufficient researches were accomplished regarding the instruction of vocabulary learning strategies in Chinese language education. Due to growing importance of communicative competence in foreign language education, and thus growing awareness of the importance regarding vocabulary learning, an expectation of continuing research about methodological aspects of instruction in Chinese vocabulary learning strategies considering the characteristics of the Chinese language to progress more active and effective vocabulary learning by learners is greatly high.
