중국어 수업에서의 그림자료 활용방안

Abstract

외국어를 배우는 사람들은 누구나 새 언어에 대한 두려움이 있기 마련이다. 그림이라는 것은 우선 처음 접할 때 심리적으로 부담감을 덜어주는 효과가 있는데, 이는 그림자료를 학습 도구로써 사용하는 경우 언어가 학습이 아니라 놀이 같다는 느낌을 주기 때문이다. 이렇게 심리적인 요소는 언어를 학습하는 데 있어 중요한 영향을 미친다. 또한 언어를 배우는 학생들은 그림이라는 자료를 통해 교과서에 한정된 내용 뿐 만이 아니라, 더욱 창의적이고 열린 사고를 할 수 있다. 이는 교실 안이라는 한계를 벗어나, 교실 밖에서의 환경을 안으로 끌어오는 효과도 있어, 학생들의 생동감 있는 의사소통 능력 향상에 많은 도움이 된다. 이러한 점에 착안하여 본 연구의 제Ⅰ,Ⅱ장에서는 어떠한 그림을 학습 자료로써 선택하는 것이 학습 공간에서 적합한지를 제시하고, 학습 자료로써의 그림자료가 어떠한 효과가 있는지 제시하였다. 제 Ⅲ장에서는 그림자료를 활용하여 중국어 수업을 위한 교수법을 세 가지 제시하였다. 또한 그에 상응하는 중국어 수업 모형을 제시함으로써 어떻게 그 제시된 교수법을 적용할 수 있는지 실제적인 상황설계를 하였다. 그림자료 활용에 적용할 교수법으로는 초단파 교수법 이론(Microwave Method), 과업 중심 교수법이론(Task based Language Teaching), 협동적 언어 교수법이론(Cooperative Language Leaning) 세 가지를 제시하였다. 제 Ⅳ장에서는 중국어 능력 향상을 위해 그림자료를 어떻게 활용할 지에 대하여 구체적인 방법을 제시하였다. 각 교수법에는 그를 이용한 중국어 수업모형을 상황 10가지를 제시하여, 각 수업 모형에서 어떤 언어기능에 중점을 두었는지 제시하고 그에 맞는 학습목표, 사용된 언어 교수법과 그 언어 교수법이 사용된 근거를 함께 제시하였다. 또한 그림자료가 어떻게 다양한 형태로 수업시간에 사용되어 질 수 있는지 적용해 보았다. 본 연구는 그림자료를 말하기, 듣기, 쓰기, 읽기 네 가지 언어영역에 어떻게 적용할 수 있을지 그 방안에 대해 연구하였다. 아직 중국어 교육 영역에서 그림자료 활용방안에 대한 연구가 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 앞으로 다양한 각도에서 유용하고, 효과적으로 사용되어질 수 있는 그림자료 활용에 대한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어지기를 기대한다.;This thesis illustrates the effectiveness of teaching Chinese using pictures. Many studies show how visual stimulation helps memorization and understanding. Also, if language learners see images, they often enjoy learning more, and this helps to maintain interest. Of course, we should never forget that it is the teacher, not textbooks or other materials, that determines whether language learning is ultimately effective and enjoyable. Many teachers think pictures are useful only for speaking practice, but they are also useful in other learning situations, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Humans are very visual creatures. Indeed, if we examine it closely, we find images everywhere in our environment. The use of images can help students of Chinese to learn and appreciate the language with greater ease and help them retain this knowledge for a much longer time. In chapterⅠ, I introduce the topic and detail previous theses which relate to "Using Pictures to Teach Chinese". In chapter Ⅱ, I examine the principles for choosing the most effective images and the beneficial aspects and effects of using pictures. In chapter Ⅲ, I cover three specific teaching methods which are useful for manipulating images. These 3 theories are the Microwave Method, Task-Based Language Teaching and Cooperative Language Learning. I also discuss the sample model for teaching Chinese, built using these 3 methods. Chapter IV covers different teaching methods, each of them creative, lively, and effective. Chapter Ⅴ concludes this thesis and suggests how pictures are best used in a classroom setting.
