- Korean English education puts weight on teaching grammar, but students’ English accomplishments fall below expectations. To address this problem, teachers should seriously consider which grammar teaching method is more effective. Korean teachers generally teach grammar deductively because it fits a teacher-centered approach. An inductive teaching method is statistically more effective on short-term memory
Thus, it is hard to choose one method over another, whether inductive or deductive, to teach grammar more effectively, I would suggest a synthesizing approach combining inductive and deductive teaching.
