- o-Aninobenzaldehyde를 사용하는 Peraino와 Pitot법으로 우리나라산 숭어 내장에 존재하는 ornithine aminotransferase를 연구한 결과 enzyme의 optium pH는 7.3이었으며 enzyme 농도가 증가함에 따라 그 활성도 증가되었다. 그리고 숭어 내장 중 간, 신장, 심장, 창자(장), 비장, 위, 정소, 난소에서 모두 ornithine aminotransferase의 활성이 나타났으며 비활성도는 간>신장>심장>창자>위>비장>정소>난소의 순이었다. 또한 기질인 L-ornithine과 α-ketoglutaric acid의 optimum 농도는 각각 0.1M과 0.02M이었다.;Ornithine aminotransferase (OAT) was studied in internal organs of Korean Mugil cephalus. The activity of OAT was measured with o-aminobenzaldehyde, according to the method of Peraino and Pitot. The result is as follows.
1. The activity of OAT had a pH optimum at 7.3. As the concentration of enzyme was increased, the activity of OAT increased.
2. For optimum substrate concentration the activity of OAT in liver had L-ornithine at a.1M and α-ketoglutaric acid at 0.02M.
3. The enzyme activity was found in internal organs. And the enzyme activities expressed as specific activities were as follows:
liver> kidney> heart> intestine> stomach> spleen> testes> ovaries.
