Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to propose and reflect consumer opinions and needs for location and situation-based AAC applications using Living Lab(LL) from the development stage. Method: This study formed AAC user and stakeholder LL for 12 AAC users and 23 stakeholders(parents, teachers, etc.) to use the location and situation-based AAC prototype and then performed user evaluations to identify the needs of users. Text mining analysis using Excel's Power Query and Pivot table was conducted based on the data collected during the user evaluations. Results: From the text mining analysis, we found 71 keywords in the AAC user LL and 48 keywords in the stakeholder LL. Four keywords about location and situation, and 21 about application functions were common in both AAC user and stakeholder LL. Conclusion: Based on the identified needs through the LL and the text mining analysis, we proposed suggestions to improve location and situation-based AAC applications in the future. © 2022 Seorim.
