국내·외 자폐범주성장애 영·유아 대상 음악치료 중재 연구 고찰

Abstract

This study analyzed the overall characteristics of eighteen music therapy intervention studies for domestic and foreign infants and children with autism spectrum disorder. Out of the articles published in the KCI-listed (nominated) ones that conformed to the analysis standards, seven domestic, eleven foreign, a total of eighteen articles were selected to analyze the overall contents of the intervention strategy and arguments that reflect the overall characteristics of intervention, intervention type and development characteristics, and the results are as follows: In domestic and foreign studies, the intervention of music therapy between infants and children was conducted mainly at 20-30 minute intervals, mainly done by individual intervention, it seemed to come from a characteristic of a short attention span of infants and children and a difficulty of group organization, a characteristic of autism spectrum disorder. In dependent variables, the most frequent found ones were the interventions related to social interaction, participation behavior, and communication behavior in the language domain, which reflected the social and linguistic domain issues, the most representative characteristic for infants and children with autism spectrum disorder. In relation to the measurement of detailed techniques, individual behavioral indicators were the most common measurements. Although standardized ones are usually believed to be objective, but given the nature of autism spectrum disorder, because the symptoms reveal widely depending on individuals, the method of systematic observation was considered to be applied in order to measure small changes in infants and children. Various strategies and arguments reflecting autism spectrum disorder have been presented in domestic and foreign studies. Still there seems to be more or less a lack of music strategies and arguments reflecting the characteristics of autistic children. Such insufficiency seemingly comes from the similar aspects of autistic children in apparence, even they have age differences. Also, the differences in levels of developments seem to be more important. For this reason, the reflection of the characteristics of infants and children with autism spectrum disorder is seen to be less necessary. However, more efforts and reflections are necessary because there are many results of preceding studies about the effectiveness of intervention considering the characteristics of the subject. The results of this study suggest that more active research should be carried out in regard to the music therapy intervention for domestic infants and children with autism spectrum disorder, in which the contents of intervention should be considered by the characteristics of infants and children.;본 연구는 국내·외 자폐범주성장애 영·유아 대상 음악치료중재연구 18편을 대상으로 전반적인 연구의 특성을 분석하였다. 분석기준에 부합하는 KCI 등재(후보)학술지 게재논문 중 국내 7편, 국외 11편, 총 18편을 선정하여 중재 전반적 특성, 중재유형별 특징, 발달특성을 반영한 중재전략 및 논거의 전반적인 내용을 분석하였으며 결과는 다음과 같다. 국내·외 연구에서 영·유아의 음악치료 중재는 20-30분 중재로 주로 실행되었으며 개별중재가 주를 이루었으며 이는 주의집중이 짧은 영·유아 특성 및 자폐범주성장애 특성상 집단구성이 쉽지 않는 요인이 반영된 것으로 보인다. 종속변인에서는 사회영역의 사회적 상호작용, 참여행동, 언어영역의 의사소통 행동을 목표로 중재가 많은 중재가 실행되었으며 이는 자폐범주성장애 영·유아의 가장 대표적인 특징인 사회 및 언어 영역의 문제를 반영한 것임을 확인 하였다. 세부기술 측정과 관련하여 개인행동측정을 가장 많이 활용하였는데 이는 표준화된 척도는 객관적지표가 될 수 있지만, 자폐범주성장애 특성상 개인에 따라 증상이 광범위하며 영·유아의 작은 변화에도 민감하고 세밀한 측정을 위해 체계적 관찰방법을 적용한 것으로 보인다. 국내·외 연구에서 자폐범주성장애 특성을 반영한 다양한 전략들과 논거들을 제시하였는데 영·유아의 특성을 반영한 음악전략 및 논거는 다소 부족하였는데 이는 자폐범주성장애는 아동의 연령간의 차이가 있더라도 보이는 양상이 비슷하기 때문이며 발달수준의 차이가 더 중요한 것으로 여겨지기 때문이며 이러한 이유 때문에 자폐범주성장애 영·유아 특성을 반영하는 것에 필요성을 적게 느끼는 것으로 보인다. 하지만 대상의 특성을 반영한 중재의 효과성에 대하여 많은 선행연구들의 결과들이 있기 때문에 이에 대한 노력과 반영의 필요성이 요구된다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 국내 자폐범주성장애 영·유아 대상 음악치료중재와 관련하여 활발한 연구가 진행되어야 하며 중재 내용에 있어 영·유아의 특성이 반영된 다양한 연구가 진행될 필요가 있다는 점을 시사한다.
