자폐 영유아 부모의 양육과정에서 음악활용 수준과 양육효능감

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate music utilization and parenting efficacy in parenting for parents of infants with autism. A questionnaire was distributed to institutions for infants with autism such as community rehabilitation center, speech therapy clinic, music therapy clinic, and kindergarten for disabled children. Also, online survey was conducted for collecting the responses. The total 40 responses from the parents of infants with autism were collected and analyzed. The results demonstrated that most parents utilize music in parenting their child but they use smart phones rather than music instruments. Singing (50.0%) was the highest part of utilization music in parenting and parents use children's song when parenting. Parents use singing because they regard it as a medium for improving verbal ability of their children. There was a correlation between use of music in parenting and children's interest in music (p<.001), and benefits perceived by parents for children of using music(p<.002). Also, there was a correlation between benefits perceived by parents for children of using music and parenting efficacy(p<.020) while there's no correlation between use of music in parenting and parenting efficacy(p<.668). These results show that parenting efficacy could be improved by not use of music in parenting but benefits perceived by parents for children of using music. According to this study, the participants perceived music promotes development of their children especially in verbal and social area. In addition, the participants perceived using music in parenting is effective for children's positive emotions. On the basis of the study, the study suggests that using music contributes to develop infants with autism and there is found to be significant between perception of benefits for music usage in parenting and parenting efficacy. The study of the parents' perception of benefits for music shows that using music is important for parenting infants with ASD. Therefore, supporting parents programs are needed to encourage parents to use music in parenting infants with ASD so that parents can interact with children more easier.;본 연구의 목적은 ASD 영유아 자녀의 부모 양육과정에서의 음악활용 수준과 양육효능감에 대해서 알아보는 것이다. 연구참여자는 만 2세부터 만 6세의 ASD 영유아 부모를 대상으로 특수학교 유치원, 발달센터, 언어치료센터, 음악치료센터의 담당자에게 설문조사에 대한 내용을 설명한 후 모집하였다. 또한 인터넷 네이버 까페의 공지 글을 통해 설문 참여에 동의한 사람들을 선정하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 이와 같이 온라인 및 오프라인 설문조사를 통해 ASD 영유아 부모의 양육과정에서 음악을 활용하는 현황과 음악 활용에 대한 인식, 양육효능감에 대한 자료를 수집하였다. 분석 결과, 본 연구에 참여한 ASD 영유아 부모들은 평소에 자녀들과 노래 부르기 활동을 가장 많이 활용하고 있었으며 활용노래의 장르는 동요가 가장 높게 나타났다. ASD 영유아 부모들의 양육과정에서의 음악활용 시간은 평균적으로 나타났으며 부모들은 음악활동이 자녀의 언어 및 사회성 발달에 도움이 된다고 인식하고 있었다. 또한 ASD 영유아 부모의 음악활용 시간과 자녀의 음악 관심도, 음악활용이 자녀에게 주는 혜택의 관계는 중간정도의 상관관계를 보였으며 특히 자녀가 부모에게 반응하는 정도와 자녀가 부모에게 대화를 시도하는 것과의 관계가 유의하게 나타났다. ASD 영유아 부모의 음악활용 시간과 양육효능감의 관계는 없는 것으로 나타났으나 부모가 인식하는 음악활용의 혜택과 양육효능감의 관계는 유의하게 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 ASD 영유아 자녀 양육과정에서 부모의 음악활용이 자녀의 발달에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 중요한 요인임을 알 수 있으며, ASD 영유아 부모들이 실제 양육과정에서 음악을 활용할 수 있는 방법에 대한 정보를 제공하는 프로그램의 필요성을 시사한다.
