Abstract
The purpose of the this study was to analyze the effects of ballet barre work depending on the type of ground on Physical Body Composition, Posture, and Core Stability. This study will contribute to prevention of injury as well as skill improvement of dancers. Until now, ballet has been performed only on flat floors. A hard and even surface contributes to the increase of proprioception, but ballet requires a great sense of balance which involves keeping balance on one’s tiptoes. Balancing includes physical fitness factors like strength, muscle endurance, flexibility, and coordination; multisensory training for proprioception, the vestibular system, and sight; and lastly training the reflexes. However, exercise on hard and even surfaces like a floor lacks training for the vestibular system which plays an important part in balancing. Therefore, the present study examines how ballet barre training on a balance ball which provides a shaking surface by using air pressure and ballet barre training on a floor affect body composition, posture and, core stabilization. Such a research contributes in maximizing the popularization and exercise effect of ballet. The independent variables of the present study are ballet barre training on an unstable support surface using air pressure and ballet barre training on a floor. The dependent variables are body composition, posture, and core stability. The subjects of the study were 30 ordinary people that did not major in ballet in order to verify the exercise effect of ballet, with 15 undergoing ballet barre training on a balance ball which provides an unstable support surface and the other 15 undergoing ballet barre training on a floor. Body composition involved measuring weight, skeletal muscle mass, body fat mass, fat-free mass, waist to hip ratio, visceral fat level, and basal metabolic rate. Posture involved measuring shoulder and pelvic tilt. Core stability involved measuring the time subjects were able to maintain the plank position. Data processing was conducting through covariance analysis. The results obtained from the present study were summarized as follows. 1. The group training ballet barre on an unstable support surface displayed statistically significant differences from the floor ballet barre training group by decreasing weight, body fat, abdominal fat rates, and visceral fat levels. Although both groups increased in skeletal muscle mass and total weight without fat, these figures were not statistically significant. 2. Both groups displayed decreases in shoulder and pelvic tilt, but these figures were not statistically significant. 3. The unstable support surface ballet barre training group displayed a large increase in core stability, the figure of which was statistically significant. This study will contribute to prevention of injury as well as skill improvement of dancers.;본 연구의 목적은 지면의 종류에 따른 발레 바 훈련이 체성분, 자세, 코어 안정성에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 것이다. 발레를 전공하지 않은 일반인 30명을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 15명은 공기압을 이용해 불안정한 지지면을 제공하는 반구 위에서의 발레바 훈련을 실시하였고, 15명은 마루에서 발레 바 훈련을 실시하였다. 독립변인은 공기압을 이용한 불안정한 지지면 위에서의 발레바 훈련과 마루에서의 발레바 훈련이다. 종속변인은 체성분, 자세 그리고 코어 안정성이다. 체성분은 인바디(inbody 270,한국)를 이용하여 체중(weight), 골격근량(skeletal muscle mass), 체지방량(body fat mass), 제지방률(fat-free mass), 복부지방률(waist to hip ratio), 내장지방레벨(visceral fat level), 기초대사량(basal metabolic rate)을 측정하였다. 자세는(snpe, 한국)을 이용하여 어깨와 골반의 기울기를 측정하였다. 코어 안정성은 플랭크 동작을 실시하여 시간을 측정하였다. 자료처리는 IBM SPSS Statistics 21을 활용하였으며, 통계적 유의수준은 Ρ< 0.05로 설정하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻은 결과를 종합적으로 정리하면 다음과 같다. 1. 불안정한 지지면 위에서의 발레바 훈련 집단은 체중, 체지방, 복부지방률, 내장지방 레벨이 유의하게 감소하였다. 골격근량과 제지방량은 두 집단 모두 증가하였으나 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 2. 어깨와 골반 기울기는 두 집단 모두 감소를 보였으나, 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 3. 코어안정성은 불안정한 지지면 발레바 훈련집단에서 유의하게 증가하였다. 이러한 연구는 여성의 체지방 감소와 코어 근력강화를 위한 발레 프로그램으로 유용하여 발레를 이용한 여성의 생활체육 활성화에 기여 할 것이다.
