다문화가정 대상 음악치료를 위한 인턴 및 현직 음악치료사의 타문화 인식과 문화적 역량

Abstract

본 연구는 다문화 사회로의 변화에 따라 다문화가정 구성원 대상 음악치료를 위해 음악치료사 및 인턴치료사의 타문화인식 및 문화적 역량이 요구되므로 현재 타문화인식과 문화적 역량 수준을 파악하고 치료사의 인구학적인 정보 및 활동특성에 따른 인식과 역량의 차이를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 국내 3개 음악치료 대학 및 대학원의 인턴학기생 및 졸업생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 총 131부를 회수하였고 중복응답을 제외한 총 115부를 분석하였다. 음악치료사 및 인턴치료사들의 타문화인식과 문화적 역량 평균 점수는 전체 평균점수와 차이 없는 점수를 보였다. 치료사의 인구학적 정보 및 활동 특성에 따라 타문화 인식과 문화적 역량에 차이가 있는지 살펴본 결과 치료사의 학력, 경력, 해외거주 경험유무, 다문화 세션 경험 유무에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 학력과 경력에서는 공통적으로 문화적 역량의 하위영역인 지식 영역에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다(p<.05). 해외거주경험에서는 학력과 경력에서는 나타나지 않은 타문화 인식의 하위영역인 자료활용 부분에서 차이를 나타냈다(p<.05). 다문화세션 경험유무에 따라서는 경험있는 집단이 없는 집단보다 문화적 역량에서 유의미한 차이를 나타냈다(p<.01). 특히 문화적 역량의 하위영역인 인식과 기술에서 차이를 보였다(p<.01). 이러한 결과들은 치료사의 타문화 인식 개선을 통해 문화적 역량 향상을 유도해야하며 치료사들이 다문화 세션에 대해 지식수준에 그치지 않고 임상현장에서 기술적인 역량으로 발휘될 수 있도록 함과 동시에 다문화적인 콘텐츠나 상황에 노출될 수 있는 기회를 제공해야 할 필요성이 있음을 제시하는데 의미를 갖는다.;The purpose of this study was to investigate cultural competency and other cultural awareness among music therapists and intern music therapists for music therapy practice for multi-cultural family members with various cultural backgrounds. While a survey was sent to students on internship and graduates from music therapy major of three domestic universities, the one-hundred thirty one were retrieved, and one hundred fifteen were analyzed excluding duplicated reponses. Therapists got low scores in both other cultural awareness and cultural competency. This research result gives conclusion that more exposure to cross-cultural contents and situations has higher other cultural awareness and cultural competency. And It suggests the necessity for encounter with cross-cultural situations and related informations through educational curriculum and supporting education to therapists.
