국내외 뇌성마비 대상 음악 적용 연구 고찰(2000~2015년 연구를 중심으로)

Abstract

본 연구는 국내와 국외의 뇌성마비 대상 음악 중재 연구 현황을 비교, 분석하기 위하여 수행되었다. 이를 위해 PsycINFO, PubMed, 학술교육원(e-Article), 학술연구정보서비스(RISS), 한국학술정보(KISS) 등에서 2000년 이후에 발표된 국내·외 학위 논문과 학술지 게재 논문 중 뇌성마비 대상 음악 적용 연구를 검색하여 국내 26편, 국외 11편 총 37편을 분석하였다. 뇌성마비 발생률이 증가 추세인 것에 비해 음악 적용 연구 수는 국내·외 모두 적은 편이었다. 분석 대상 국외 연구의 대상자 수는 국내와 비교할 때 많은 것으로 나타났는데, 국내의 경우 1~4명을 대상으로 진행한 연구가 65.3%에 달하는 반면 국외의 경우 9.1%에 그쳤고, 20명 이상을 대상으로 하는 연구가 54.5%로 큰 비중을 차지했다. 연구 대상자 세부 유형별 빈도를 분석 한 결과, 국내 연구의 57.7%, 국외 연구의 100%가 경직형(spastic) 뇌성마비인 것으로 나타났다. 음악 중재 연구의 목표 영역을 인지, 언어, 운동, 정서로 나눠 분석한 결과 국내의 46.2%, 국외의 81.8%에 해당하는 연구에서 운동 영역을 목표로 하였고, 신경학적 음악치료 기법을 적용한 신체 움직임을 주요 중재 활동으로 사용하였는데, 이는 뇌성마비의 일차적인 치료 목표가 신체 재활에 있다는 것과 밀접한 관련이 있다고 보았다. 이러한 분석을 통해 2000년 이후 발표된 국내·외 연구 수의 증감은 나타나지 않았지만 신경학적 음악치료 기법을 적용, 신체 재활을 목표로 하는 비중이 높아졌으며, 분석 대상 국외 연구 11편 중 4편이 국내 연구자에 의해 진행되었다는 특이점을 발견 할 수 있었다. 연구의 깊이 있는 발전과 동시에 인지, 언어, 정서 등 각 목표 영역에 맞는 효과적 중재를 검증해가는 다양한 영역의 연구가 이루어져야 하며, 향후 음악치료 학문 발전을 위해 연구의 양적 확대와 동시에 질적 재고라는 균형적 발전이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.;This study analyses and compares domestic and international research of music interventions for cerebral palsy. In this project, using PsycINFO, PubMed, e-Article, RISS, KISS, and others, we have analysed 37 research materials on music therapy for cerebral palsy, 26 in Korea and 11 outside the country-focused on theses and journal papers since 2000. Despite an increased risk of cerebral palsy, no singularity has been found in numbers of both domestic and international research related to music interventions. On the other hand, the number of domestic research participants appears to be larger than their international counterpart. For instance, research of less than four participants reaches 65.3% in Korea while international research thereof is just 4% and even 54.5% foreign research are conducted with more than 20 participants. According to detailed analysis of the types of subjects, 57.7% of domestic and 100% of international research appear to examine spastic cerebral palsy. We have considered the purpose of the music therapy research, in areas ranging from cognition, language and movement to sentiment. The results suggest that 46.2% of in-country research and 81.8% international research set a goal of analysing the movement area. Then, the physical movement with applied neurologic music therapy techniques is used for main interventions. This represents that the primary therapeutic aim for cerebral palsy is closely linked to physical rehabilitation. Although the number of aforementioned research has not changed since 2000, these findings support the greater number of studies for physical rehabilitation with the applied neurologic music therapy techniques and the fact that 4 out of 11 international studies have been carried out by researchers from Korea. This study suggests that a diverse range of research verifying effective interventions should be examined in accordance with each target domain, such as cognition, language, sentiment, etc. along with development. Finally, it implies the need for balanced development between quantitative expansion and qualitative review of research in music therapy for its future academic development.
