초등학교 6학년 미술의 상상표현학습을 위한 지도방안

Abstract

The purpose of the fine arts teaching is to bring up humanity to students by giving them various artistic experiences. The impact of the fine arts during childhood is more important. Because these are the time when the most of his/her characteristics are made up. Expressive activities of children in this period have to be interesting to themselves by expressing their own thoughts and emotions as it is. And many teaching methods must be applied to these artistic activities to increase the effectiveness. Generally speaking, when the children get to the 6th grades in their elementary schools, they try to see outside of the world more objectively than ever. And they get more developed in sensitiveness and sensibilities. But at this step, they also start to disappoint at their short of realistic describing abilities. By this disappointment, they begin to clear of the fine art out of them. Then finally, they lose the interest in the fine arts. Even though, they start to describe objects more realistically than photo-graphically, which is main expression method in the lower grades of elementary school, it is hard that they feel content with their expressions because of the lack of their realistic describing skills. This paper suggests the new and noble teaching method that decreases the burden of realistic descriptions and enhances the delight of the fine arts to this time of children by relating imagnation and expression parts of current fine arts textbook in 6th grade. By inspecting the literature, I've found out the necessity of proper teaching method which correspond to the their development step and their traits by inquiring the general traits and the expression abilities of children. And by analysing the current textbook, I proposed the new teaching method which is applicable to current fine arts teaching curriculum, especially on expression parts. I've developed this new teaching method with 5 steps. And I've also tried to make this course to be more interesting. Each step is like this. At the first step, we look into the backgrounds of surrealism by appreciating some masterpieces of surrealism. At the second step by applying the basic and easy drawing methods of surrealism in class, I've made this step to decrease the burdens of realistic description. At the third step, I've pushed the students to draw imaginary figures from by listening of some music. At the forth step, I've instructed to make another image out of familiar objects. At the fifth step, which is final step, by applying "depaysement", I've made the children to create surrealistic images by themselves. I've applied this teaching method to the 6th grade students in a elementary school. And I got these results. The first, the children got more experienced with the expressions and the ideas of surrealism by appreciating more pieces of works which are not sufficient with the current textbook. At the second, they could spend more enjoyable fine arts class hours by eliminating the burden of describing objects realistically. And the third, this increased the interests in the arts classes and also enhanced the children's expression abilities of imagination. At this research, by applying the new teaching method of the expressions of imagination, it was focused to induce children interests in arts. And I've also found that this teaching method brings not technical skills of expressions but creative expression abilities. And I hope that this kind of new teaching method developments to be the base-frame work of current arts teaching, which it should head to.;미술교육은 다양한 미술활동을통하여 전인적 인간을 육성하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 따라서 인격 형성에 큰 영향을 미치는 아동기의 미술활동의 중요도는 더욱 크다. 아동의 표현활동은 아동의 잠재의식 속에 내재되어 있는 생각과 감정을 표현함으로써 아동의 욕구와 흥미가 충족될 수 있는 흥미 있는 활동이 되어야 하며 이를 위해서는 다양한 기법을 미술활동에 적용해야 할 필요가 있다. 초등학교 6학년의 시기는 주관적 표현에서 객관적 표현으로 넘어가는 시기로써 아동들은 환경에 대한 인식과 감수성이 크게 발달하면서 사물에 대한 객관적 시각을 갖게 된다. 그러나 이러한 발달단계에 있어서 아동들은 자신의 표현이 ‘사실적’으로 만족스럽지 못할 경우 자신의 그림에 대해 비판하게 되며 그로 인한 실망감으로 그림을 멀리하며, 미술에 대한 흥미를 잃어버리게 된다. 초등학교 저학년까지의 표현발달단계의 특징인 도식적인 표현을 벗어나 사실적 표현을 시작 하기는 하지만 고학년이 되었다고 해서 갑자기 만족스런 사실적 표현을 하기에는 무리가 따르기 마련이다. 본 논문은 이러한 어려움을 겪고 있는 아동들에게 사실적 표현에 대한 부담감을 덜어주고 미술시간의 즐거움을 느낄 수 있도록 초등학교 6학년 미술교과서의 상상표현 단원에 대한 지도방안을 제시하고 이를 통하여 미술에 대한 흥미를 향상시키는데 그 목적을 두었다. 문헌연구를 통해 초등학교 6학년 아동들의 일반적인 특성과 표현능력에 대해 고찰해 봄으로써 학습자에 대한 이해와 발달단계에 맞는 기법도입의 필요성을 인식하였고 교과서 분석을 통해 상상표현 단원에 제시되어 있는 초현실주의 작품을 감상하고 이를 기초로 지도방안을 제시하였다. 상상표현 학습을위한 학습지도 절차는 다섯 단계로 구성하여 활동 학습 효과를 알아보았다. 학습지도안 단계별 세부사항의 구성은 다음과 같다. 첫 번째 단계에서는 교과서에 제시된 작가의 여러 작품을 감상하며 상상표현에 대한 이해를 넓히고 두 번째 단계에서는 데칼코마니와 프로타주 기법을 이용하여 표현해 봄으로써 사실적 표현에 대한 부담감에서 벗어나 미술을 즐길 수 있도록 구성하였다. 세 번째 단계에서는 음악을 통한 동기유발을 함으로써 자유로운 상상화 제작을 구성하였고, 네 번째 단계에서는 구성된 이미지를 가지고 연상하여 또 다른 이미지를 만들어 내는 활동을 하도록 하였다. 다섯 번째 단계에서는 데페이즈망 기법의 응용으로 비현실적 공간을 연출하는 표현 활동으로 구성하였다. 본 연구는 상상표현 학습을 위한 지도안을 적용함으로써 미술교육에서 어떠한 표현기술의 습득을 위한 것이 아니라, 학생들의 흥미를 유발함으로써 미술에 관심을 가질 수 있고 창의적인 표현활동이 가능하다는 것을 발견하였다. 이는 앞으로 우리 미술교육이 지향해야 될 바를 제시해 주는 기틀이 될 것 이다.
