국민학교 도덕과 교과서 통일안보 단원의 분석적 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 학교 통일교육의 시각이 반공에서 통일로 전환되어 가는 시기에 개정된 제5차 교육과정 국민학교 도덕과 교과서에 나타난 통일안보 교육내용을 분석적으로 연구한 것이다. 연구의 목적은 통일안보 단원의 분석을 통하여 국민학교 통일안보 교육의 지도 방향을 찾고, 국민학교 통일안보 교육의 비중을 조사하여 교육과정 운영 및 교과서 개편에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 있다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 국민학교 도덕과 교과서에 나타난 통일안보 교육의 지도 방향은 무엇이며, 통일안보 단원은 어떻게 구성되어 있는가? 분석의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 국민학교 통일안보 교육의 목표는 우리 체제에 대한 올바른 인식과 분단 극복 및 통일의 당위성과 통일의지를 강조하는 것으로 나타났다. 2. 통일안보 단원은 30개 단원안에 81개의 소제목으로 구성되어 있고, 전체 교과서에서 차지하는 단원의 비중은 15.2%, 소제목수 비중은 15.4%, 지도시간 수 비중은 15.0%, 지면수 비중은 15.3%로 나타났다. 3. 통일안보 단원의 40분 단위 시간당 학습분량을 지도시간수와 지면수를 비교하여 조사해 본 결과 1~6학년 시간당 평균 학습 분량이 7.7면으로 나타났다. 4. 통일안보 단원의 소제목 소재구성의 교재 유형은 생활문이 전체 소제목의 41.9%, 설명문이 29.1%로 생활문과 설명문이 전체에서 차지하는 비중이 71.0%이다. 5. 통일안보 단원 81개의 소제목 내용을 요약하여 표로 작성하고, 분단극복과 민족동질성 회복을 통일의지의 개념으로 분석하였고 북한사회 비판과 대북경계심의 내용을 국방안보의 개념으로 분석하였다. 그리고 문교부 고시 법적 문서로서의 교육과정에 제시된 통일안보 지도요소와 교사용 지도서의 학년별 지도요소를 관련시켜 분석기준을 작성하였다. 그 분석기준에 의하여 소제목의 내용 대신 소제목을 제시하는 방법으로 통일안보단원의 내용분포를 조사 분석한 결과 통일의지에 관련된 내용 단원이 67.9%, 국방안보에 관련된 내용 단원은 32.1%로 나타났다. 연구의 결론과 제언은 다음과 같다. 1. 제5차 교육과정 국민학교 도덕과 교과서에 나타난 통일안보 교육의 지도방향은 민족공동체 의식 함양을 위한 민족동질성 회복과 분단 극복등 통일의지를 강조하는 것이다. 2. 도덕과 교과서에서 통일안보 단원이 차지하는 비중은 단원수비중, 소제목 수 비중, 지도시간수 비중, 지면수 비중의 평균 비중이 15.2%이다. 3. 국민학교 도덕과 교과서 통일안보 단원의 내용은 북한을 극복의 대상이 아닌 같은 민족으로서 함께 살아가야 할 대상이라는 긍정적 사고를 키우고 민족동질성 회복에 주력해서 통일에 대비한다는 통일의지 고양등 통일 개념에 중점을 두고 있어 국민학교에서는 통일교육이 본격적으로 시작되었다고 할 수 있다. 국민학교 통일안보 교육의 효과를 높이기 위해서는 발전적 수업방법의 적용과 함께 심화 학습자료의 개발이 요청된다고 하겠다.;This study made analytical researches in the contents of the unification security education appearing in the moral textbooks of elementary school of the 5th curriculum which had been revised with a change in the viewpoint of school unification education from anti-Communism to unification. The purpose of this study is to find the teaching points of unification security units and to provide the basic data for the application of curriculum and the revision of textbooks by examining the proportion of unification security education in elementary school. To accomplish this purpose I set up two subjects of the study: What is the teaching point of unification security education in the moral textbooks of elementary school? How are the unification security units composed of there? The result of analysis of the textbooks is as follows : 1. The objectives of unification security education put emphasis on the correct understanding of the structure of our nation, overcoming the partition of the Korean peninsula, the justification of unification, and the will for unification. 2. Unification security units are composed of 30 units and 81 small titles. And the proportion of the units to the whole textbooks is 15.2%. 3. The proportions of the small titles, the teaching hours, and the assinged spaces of unification security units are 15.4%, 15.0%, and 15.3% each. 4. As the result of examining learning quantity by the time of 40 minutes for a class on the basis of teaching hours and assigned spaces, the average learning quantity of the 1st grade to the 6th grade is 7.7 pages. 5. Occasional writings and illustrations amount to 41.9% and 29.1% each of all the material patterns for small titles of unification security units. So occasional writings and illustrations amount to 71% together. 6. As the result of analizing the composition of the small titles of unification security units on the basis of the will for unification and national defense, the proportions of small titles related to the will for unification and national defense are 69.8% and 30.2% each. The conclusion of this study is as follows: 1. The teaching point of unification security education appearing in the moral textbooks of elementary school of the 5th curriculum emphasizes the restoration of national homogeneity, overcoming the partition of the Korean peninsula, the will for unification, etc. 2. As unification security units account for 15.2% of moral textbooks, the proportion for unification security education of elementary school is low. 3. In order to enhance the effect of unification security education of elementary school the proportion of unification security units of moral textbooks should be improved and the discretionary power, self-control, and adaptability of teachers should be ensured in the application of curriculum.
