| а qٳ1 %t | D\䲔 |X | P D P Ǵ mYP |P!t <\ ` . mYP |H P!X | t0 t )X ȩ hخ T Yյ̸X t ƭ Xՠ.;This study made analytical researches in the contents of the unification security education appearing in the moral textbooks of elementary school of the 5th curriculum which had been revised with a change in the viewpoint of school unification education from anti-Communism to unification. The purpose of this study is to find the teaching points of unification security units and to provide the basic data for the application of curriculum and the revision of textbooks by examining the proportion of unification security education in elementary school.
To accomplish this purpose I set up two subjects of the study: What is the teaching point of unification security education in the moral textbooks of elementary school? How are the unification security units composed of there?
The result of analysis of the textbooks is as follows :
1. The objectives of unification security education put emphasis on the correct understanding of the structure of our nation, overcoming the partition of the Korean peninsula, the justification of unification, and the will for unification.
2. Unification security units are composed of 30 units and 81 small titles. And the proportion of the units to the whole textbooks is 15.2%.
3. The proportions of the small titles, the teaching hours, and the assinged spaces of unification security units are 15.4%, 15.0%, and 15.3% each.
4. As the result of examining learning quantity by the time of 40 minutes for a class on the basis of teaching hours and assigned spaces, the average learning quantity of the 1st grade to the 6th grade is 7.7 pages.
5. Occasional writings and illustrations amount to 41.9% and 29.1% each of all the material patterns for small titles of unification security units. So occasional writings and illustrations amount to 71% together.
6. As the result of analizing the composition of the small titles of unification security units on the basis of the will for unification and national defense, the proportions of small titles related to the will for unification and national defense are 69.8% and 30.2% each.
The conclusion of this study is as follows:
1. The teaching point of unification security education appearing in the mo<ral textbooks of elementary school of the 5th curriculum emphasizes the restoration of national homogeneity, overcoming the partition of the Korean peninsula, the will for unification, etc.
2. As unification security units account for 15.2% of moral textbooks, the proportion for unification security education of elementary school is low.
3. In order to enhance the effect of unification security education of elementary school the proportion of unification security units of moral textbooks should be improved and the discretionary power, self-control, and adaptability of teachers should be ensured in the application of curriculum.&HQsj&-6?>`Ikfih
