전문가 시스템 "Expert system"에 관한 연구

Abstract

정보화 시대라 할 수 있는 현대 사회는 많은 양의 정보와 더불어 전문적인 지식을 요구한다. 인공지능 연구의 적용분야 중 가장 성과를 많이 거두고 있는 전문가 시스템(EXPERT SYSTEM)은 이제 이미 개발된 여러 분야에서와 마찬가지로 교육에서의 적용도 개발되고 있다. 인간 전문가를 보조 또는 대치할 수 있는 컴퓨터에 있어서 전문가 시스템의 연구는 교육 분야에서 꼭 검토되고 연구되어야 할 분야이다. 이 연구에서는 전문가 시스템의 개념, 특성 및 장단점과 그 구성들을 국내외 문헌을 통해 연구·고찰하고, 실제 개발되어 있는 예들을 알아봄으로써 교육에의 적용 가능성과 적용 방안을 분석·고찰하는데 있다. 본 연구에서 고찰한 중요 내용은 다음과 같다. 1. 전문가 시스템이란 컴퓨터로 하여금 어떤 특정 분야에서 그 분야의 전문가처럼 판단하고 행동할 수 있도록 하는 프로그램으로, 인간의 광범위한 전문적 지식을 필요로 하는 복잡한 문제 해결을 컴퓨터에 응용한 것이라고 할 수 있다. 2. 전문가 시스템은 전문 조언자로서, 직무 수행 보조로서, 의사 결정 지원자로서, 설명할 수 있는 시스템으로서의 역할을 할 수 있다. 3. 전문가 시스템은 지식 베이스, 추론 엔진, 사용자 인터페이스, 설명기구를 기본 구성요소로 이루어진다. 4. 전문가 시스템은 깊이있는 많은 양의 전문적인 지식을 가지고 빠르고 정확한 결론에 도달하며, 그 기술은 인간 전문가와 달리 영구적이고 복사 전달이 쉽다. 5. 전문가 시스템은 교육에 있어서 교수적 측면, 피 교수적 측면, 또한 도구적인 측면에서 사용될 수 있다. 앞으로의 전문가 시스템의 개발을 위해 개선해야 할 점은 다음과 같다. 1. 기존의 데이터베이스를 전문가 시스템의 지식 베이스로 받아들이기 위하여 기존의 시스템과의 인터페이스가 필요하다. 2. 사용자가 전문가 시스템을 쉽게 사용하고, 메시지를 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 사용자 인터페이스의 기능을 보강하여야 한다. 3. 한글 처리가 가능한 전문가 시스템의 개발에 힘써야 한다. 4. 효과적인 전문가 시스템이 개발되기 위해서는 교육학자 및 교육공학자, 인지심리학자, 각 영역의 전문가, 그리고 지식공학자 및 컴퓨터 전문가의 상호 긴밀한 협조가 이루어져야 할 것이다.;Nowadays, the amount of knowledge and information to be handled is on the increase. and the expert. knowledge are required, too. Expert system which has a best result in branch of Artificial IntelIigence. has been applied education, as already applied in many areas. Education application of expert, system need to he studied in more depth, because expert system is capable with support or replacement human expert. The purpose of this study was t0 review definition, features, advantages and Iimitations, and it's components of expert system and study the expert, system"s function and application to education. The Followings are major content of the study: I. Expert system is a computer program that has built into it the knowledge and capability that will allow it to operate at the expert's level. 2. Expert system may function as expert consultations, job aid performance, decision supper. expert and articulate expert system. 3. Expert system is composed with knowledge base, inference engine, user interface, and expIanation facility. 4. Expert system is able to solve many educational probIems with it"s expertise exactly and fast. Also, it's technology is permanence and easier to document and to transfer. 5, The educational implication of expert system were explored in three directions : as a tutor, tutee. and tool Followings are several proposals for better expert, system development. I. To interaot the expert system with existing systems, such as database, is required. 2. User interface system's ability has t o increase to facili tate the expert system's use and understanding of message. 3. Expert system that, is able to operate in Korean rust be develop. 4. To develop the expert system effectively, they have to cooperate with educational technologist, cognitive psychologist domain expert, knowledge engineer and computer scientists.
