전통 목판화에 대한 연구

Abstract

본고는 한국전통목판화에 나타난 양식의 변천과 기법을 중심으로 자료를 수집·체계화 시켜 보았다. 현대에 와서 판화는 매우 활발하게 발전해가고 있으며 그 인식도 아주 다르게 변화해 가고 있다. 고도로 발달한 과학의 힘과 기술의 발달은 판화의 종류와 기술을 향상시키고 세련화시키며 수많은 작가들을 배출시키고 있다. 판화가 갖는 대량생산의 가능성과 가격의 저렴성, 또한 운반의 편리함등은 판화예술이 본질적으로 갖고 있는 안전성이나 대중성, 친근감등으로 인해 판화는 현대에 와서 매우 활발하게 발전된 양상을 보이고 있다. 최근 빈번하게 열리고 있는 국제판화전이나 전시회 등을 통해 각국의 우수한 작가들이 빈번한 교류를 이룸으로써 세계는 더욱 가까워지고 판화는 대중 속으로 폭 넓게 파고 들어가고 있다. 이러한 세계적인 흐름속에서 우리의 판화에 대한 인식도 새로이 부각되고 그 의미도 폭 넓게 이해되고 있는 반면 우리의 전통목판화에 대한 관심은 여전히 등한시 되고 외면되어 왔다. 간간히 우리의 것에 대한 자각의 소리가 있기는 하나 그것은 일부일 뿐 현대판화의 추세에 비하면 우리의 전통목판화에 대한 연구와 자료는 아주 미흡하다. 따라서 우리의 고판화들이 한 예술의 쟝르로서 독립성을 부여 받을 수 있는지 없는지, 또 판화사 안에서 어떤 위치를 지니는 지를 안다는 것은 아주 중요한 일이다. 그런 점에서 우리 한국 판화의 흐름을 개괄하는 작업이 이루어져야할 필요와 함께 우리의 전통에 대한 새로운 시각이 선지되어야 함을 느낀다.;I systematized the changes and technique of mode appeared on Korean traditional woodcut print from my collection. The woodcut print is not only developed but also understanding changing now days. Recently the science and the technology are developing and refining the woodcut print and has been bring forth a large number of writers. The characteristics of the woodcut print which have the possibility of the mass production, cheapness and the convenience of transportation are becoming more popular among the people by its stability, popularity and the sense on intimacy essentially. The woodcut print is becoming more popular among the people widely through the international woodcut print exhibitions and biennale. Visiting the most famous writers in the world, the world is becoming closer and closer now days. The conception of our woodcut print is changing by these world inclining and under stood widely among people, but the interest about our traditional woodcut print has been neglected and turned away our interest. Seldom there are selp-conciousness shootings but they're only parts. The materials and researches of our traditional woodcut print are very few comparing the modern print. It's very important to know wheather our traditional woodcut print will be endowed as a genre of its independence of the art or not and its position of the history of woodcut print. So I realize that the necessity of the introduction and survey of Korean woodcut printwork and the new view of our tradition.
