사범대학에서의 컴퓨터 교육에 관한 조사연구

Abstract

Nowadays computers are used in every aspects of our life, and the importance of the computer education for the teachers who will teach students is on increase. There are two ways in the computer education for teachers, the in-service teacher and the pre-service teacher. The education for the in-service teacher is important, but from the long point of view the college of education should train the teachers able to use computer through the education of pre-service teachers. But nowadays there is no systematic computer education in the college of education. This study reviews the literatures on computer educations in the college of education, and investigates and analizes the problems, improving devices and the actual conditions of computer educations in the colleges of education of universities in Korea. versities in Korea. The purpose of this study is to search for the apppropriate computer education for the pre-service teachers in the college of education. For this purpose, the questionaire to 300 departments of the college of education of universities in Korea shows the following. 1. There is difference in curriculums on computer of each department, but there is no systematic education for the pre-service teachers. 2. Now, the purpose of the computer education in each department of the college of educaton is to select the educational software, to put to pratical use in class and to improve the ability to read and use simple programs and to treat the basic task of teachers with computer. 3. The problems in computer education are the lack of computers, the basic computer knowledge of student' practice time, and appropriate computer text. 4. The difficulties in establishment of subject on computer are the limit of major credit, exhortation of minor, recommendation of student' taking lesson for themselves, strengthen of related general education subjects, and lake of recognition in the view of college of education in addition to guaranteeing the practice room and professors. On the basis of above results, this study makes the following recommendations. 1. To bring up capable teachers on computers, the college should establish the subjects about computer beyond the introduction for the systematic learning. 2. Computer education subjects for the pre-service teachers can be established as the general education subjects and major subjects, knowledge for the general teachers should be taught in the general education subjects and enriched knowledge should be taught in the major subjects. 3. To intensify the basic computer education for the pre-service teachers as a required general education subject, a systematic model of a general education subject should be developed. 4. To bring up teachers in charge of computer education, we should exhort the student of the college of education to study about computer as minor , or establish the department of computer education. 5. When issue a teacher's license, require a basic computer capability essentially, and add more capability to some department. 6. To intensify the computer education of the student of the college of education, we should improve the recognization of computer education of professors and administrators.;현대사회에서 컴퓨터의 역할이 증대됨에 따라 학생들을 가르쳐야할 교사를 위한 컴퓨터 교육의 중요성도 점차 부각되고 있다. 교사를 위한 컴퓨터교육방법에는 현직교사 연수와 직전교사 교육의 두가지가 있는데, 현재 여건상 현직교사의 연수도 중요하지만 장기적인 측면에서 볼 때, 사범대학에서 직전교사교육을 통하여 컴퓨터에 관한 능력을 갖춘 교사를 양성하는 것이 필요하다. 그러나 현재 사범대학에서는 예비교사를 위한 체계적인 컴퓨터 교육이 이루어지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 사범대학에서의 컴퓨터교육에 관하여 문헌을 통해 고찰해보고, 우리나라 종합대학교 사범대학의 컴퓨터 교육의 실태와 문제점 및 개선방안에 대하여 조사, 분석함으로써 사범대학에서의 예비교사를 위한 보다 적절한 컴퓨터 교육의 범위를 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이런 목적을 위해 국내 종합대학교 사범대학 300개 학과를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 사범대학의 각 과에서 개설한 컴퓨터 관련 과목은 계열별로 차이가 있었으나 예비교사를 위한 체계적인 교육은 이루어지지 않고 있었다. 2. 현재 사범대학의 각 과예서 컴퓨터 교육의 목표로 삼고 있는바는 교육용 소프트웨어를 선정하고 수업에 활용할 수 있는 능력, 간단한 프로그램을 읽고 쓸 수 있는 능력, 교사로서의 기본 사무업무를 컴퓨터로 처리할 수 있는 능력 등인 것으로 나타났다. 3. 컴퓨터 교육시의 문제점으로는 컴퓨터의 부족, 학생들의 컴퓨터에 대한 기본지식부족, 실습시간 부족, 적절한 컴퓨터 교재의 부족 등이 지적되었다. 4. 컴퓨터관련 과목 개설의 애로점으로는 실습실 확보나 담당교수 확보의 어려운 점 외에도 전공이수학점의 제한, 부전공권운, 학생스스로 배우도록 권장, 교직과목의 강화, 사범대 차원의 인식부족 등이 지적되었다. 이와 같은 조사결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 다음과 같은 제언을 하고자 한다. 1. 컴퓨터에 대하여 능력있는 교사를 양성하기 위해서는 컴퓨터 입문수준에서 탈피해 교사로서 갖춰야 할 컴퓨터 소양을 위한 과목을 대폭 신설하여 체계적으로 배울 수 있도록 한다. 2. 예비교사를 위한 컴퓨터 교육과정은 교직과목이나 전공과목으로 개설될 수 있는데, 어느 과목의 교사든지 갖춰야 할 지식( 예를 들면. 학생들에겐 가르치기 적절한 소프트웨어의 선정, 컴퓨터를 어떻게 활용함으로써 자신의 수업을 가장 효과적이며 효율적으로 운영될 수 있는지 등)은 교직과목에서 필수로 배우도록 하고, 각 과의 특성에 따라 심화된 내용은 전공과목으로 개설해 배우도록 한다. 3. 예비교사를 위한 기본적인 컴퓨터 교육을 교직필수과목으로 강화하기 위해서는 교직과목에 대한 체계적인 교육과정모델이 개발되어야 한다. 4. 컴퓨터 교육 담당교사 양성을 위해서는 사범대생의 전자계산학과 ,전산학과 등의 컴퓨터 관련학과 부전공제를 권장하거나, 사범대 내에 교육공학과나 전자계산교육과를 설치하여 컴퓨터 교육 담당교산 자격증을 발급하도록 한다. 5. 교사자격증발급시 컴퓨터 기초기능 구비를 필수로 하고, 과에 따라서 그 이상의 능력을 선별적으로 채택하도록 한다. 6. 사범대생의 컴퓨터 교육강화를 위해 우선 각 과 교수와 대학 행정가들의 컴퓨터 교육에 대한 인식을 개선하도록 한다.
