과학교육의 목표와 과학실험목적의 중요성에 관한 인식연구

Abstract

본 연구는 과학교육목표 13개 항목과 과학실험목적 15개 항목을 설문내용으로 구성하여 중·고등학교 현직교사, 고등학생, 대학생, 학부형을 설문대상으로 과학교육목표와 과학실험목적에 대한 인식의 차이를 조사하였다. 조사결과를 통하여 과학교육목표설정과 교육내용 전반에 도움이 되고자 하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 과학교육목표 13개 항목을 각 목표별로 분석한 결과 설문그룹간, 교사, 학부형, 대학생의 인식에는 비교적 많은 차이점을 나타냈다. 2. 과학교육목표 13개 항목 전체에 대한 분석에서는 "과학적 태도(탐구성, 비평적 태도, 정직성등)를 개발한다"가 가장 중요한 목표로 선정되었다. 3. 과학교육목표 13차 항목에 대한 그룹별 인식비교에서는 각 그룹마다 뚜렷한 인식의 차이를 살필 수 있었다. 4. 과학실험목적 15개 항목에 대한 중요도 분석결과로 교사, 고등학교, 대학생 그룹이 동일하게 "사실을 찾아내고 새로운 원리를 깨닫게 한다"에 큰 비중을 두고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 5. 과학실험목적 15개 항목에 대한 영국교사들의 분석결과는 우리나라 교사, 대학생, 고등학생의 인식과 비교적 많은 차이점을 보이고 있었다.;Through this study was revealed the recognizing differences on the aims of science teaching and practical science working among 4 major groups, middle/high school teachers, patents, high school students and university students. There consist in rather considerable differences in middle/high school teachers, parents and university students' recognizing 13 items of the aims of science teaching with most weighing on to foster scientific attitudes. Meantime, there also can be found out remarkable differences from analyzing the results about middle/high school teachers, high school students and university students' recognition trend of 15 items of the aims of practical science working, with most weighing on for finding facts and for arriving at new principles, in comparison with English teachers' focusing on the item to encourage accurate observation and description.
