Abstract
본 연구의 목적은 부천시와 서울시의 공 · 사립 여자 중학교 3학년 학생들에게 있어서 가사과 학습내용에 관한 관심과 활용정도를 변인별로(생활수준, 어머니의 직업 유무, 출생순위, 학업성적, 좋아하는 과목)조사하고, 부천시와 서울시 학교집단, 공립학교와 사립학교 집단간의 가사과 학습내용에 관한 관심도와 활용정도에 차이가 있는가, 관심있는 내용과 활용정도와의 관계를 조사하여 가사과교육을 실시하는데 있어서 문제점을 발견하고 가사과 학습의 발전을 위한 방향을 제시해 주는데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 연구방법은 부천시와 서울시의 여자 중학교 3학년 학생 449명을 대상으로 설문지 조사방법을 사용하였으며 변인별로 빈도, 백분율, 변인별 차이는 Chi-square test, 활용정도는 T-test, F-test를 하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 가사과 학습내용에 대한 관심은 좋아하는 과목과 유의한 차이를 보여 「조리」분야에서는 사회과목을 좋아하는 집단이, 「재봉」분야에서는 실업 · 가정과목을 좋아하는 집단이, 「수예」분야에서는 예체능과목을 좋아하는 집단이 관심을 나타냈다. 2. 활용정도는 생활수준이 낮은 집단이 「조리」활용도의, 어머니의 직업이 있는 집단과 출생순위가 차녀인 집단이 「조리」와 「재봉」활용도의, 실업 · 가정과목을 좋아하는 집단은 「조리」 「재봉」 「수예」활용도의 평균이 높게 나타났다. 3. 부천시와 서울시 지역별 활용정도는 고교입시제도의 부천시집단이 「재봉」활용도의 평균이 높게 나타났다. 많은 내용에 관심을 보이고 실생활에 전이되어 활용되어져야 하며 학생들 자신의 진로에 대한 의식을 심어주어야 하는 가사와 학습내용이 실제로는 부분적으로 관심도가 낮았으며 연합고사제도의 서울시 여자 중학교에서의 활용정도가 고교입시제도의 부천시 여자 중학교에 비해서 낮게 나타났다. 따라서 가사와 학습내용에 대하여 보다 많은 관심을 가지고 실생활에 활용하며 학생들 자신의 진로선택에 도움을 주기 위하여, 가정에서는 자녀에게 가사에 참여할 기회를 제공해 주어야 하고 학생들 자신의 학습에 대한 의욕적인 자세가 갖추어져야 할 것이다. 그리고 학교에서는 흥미를 유발시킬 수 있는 학습지도 방법과, 현직 가정과 교사들의 가사과목에 대한 올바른 인식과 새로운 지식습득을 위한 재교육, 객관도와 신뢰도를 높일 수 있는 올바른 평가방법에 의한 실기교육과 실습시설의 확충이 필요하며, 국가에서는 실생활에 적용할 수 있는 교과내용구성이 이루어져야 할 것이다.;The abjectives of this study In this study, a research was made to the 3rd year students of public and private girls' junior-high schools in the cities of Seoul and Bucheon, with regard to the degree of interest and utilization of the contents of the course of domestic arts, in five different personal categories. Research was extendended to the groups of schools in the city of Seoul versus Bucheon, to public schools versus private schools to find out whether there are any differencee of degree in their interest and utilization of the contents of the course of domestic arts, and to the relationship between the interested contents and utilization. Through these researches, the writer itendsto find out the educational problem points in the subject course, and to provide with the basical detas reguired to direct an advanced education of this course. The method of Study Questionnaires were made use of for the research method to that 449 replied from the 3rd year students of girls junior-high schools in the cities of Seoul and Bucheon. It was analyzed by Frequencies by factors and percentages, by each personal categories. The variance by personal categories was analyzed by Chi-square test, and the degree of utilization was analyzed by T-test and F-test. Result of the study, summarized 1. The difference of interest in the contents of this course revealed similarly to that of favorite school subjects. A group favoring the subject of social science was interested in the field of cooking, anothers group fonds of the subject of business & home affairs was interested in the field of sewing, and the other group likes the school subject of arts & athlectics expressed their interests in the field of manual arts. 2. As to the degree of utilization, the aberage utilization degree varied by groups and functions as follows, A group from lower living level homes has greater degree in cooking another group whose mothers have occupations and group of 2nd daughters have greater degree in cooking and sewing, the other group of students fonds of subject of business & home affairs has greater degree in cooking, sewing and manual arts. 3. As to the comparison of utilization degree. between the rgeions of Seoul and Bucheon city, the group of Bucheon city showed greater average utilization degree. While the contents of the course of domestic arts should have been referred to a lot, should have been widely utilized in family lives by transferring it into homes, and should have given the students positive consciousness toward their own course of lives. However, the research proved that the degree of their interest in the contents of this course was low in fact, and that the degree of utilization of it revealed lower. in the girls' junior-high schools in Seoul city than that of Bucheon city. Therefore, in order to encourage the students to share more interest in the contents of the course of domestic arts, to utilize it more in their family lives and in order to assist them in selecting the course of their own lives, it is hopeful that parants after the opportunities of participating household affairs as well the students keep up with volutional posture toward their own study. Meantime, it is expected that the schools devolop new teaching method that can create students' interest, re-educate incumbent domestic art teachers for acquiring new knowledge and right recognition of the course. And complement to the practical laboratory facilities and a practical education depending upon right evaluation method that enhances its objectivity and reliance are also expected. The goverment will have to support with new carriculum composition that could be applied to real family lives, too.
