朴吉雄의 作品에 관한 硏究

Abstract

현대미술이 우리나라에 정착하는 과정에서 일정한 위치를 차지하는 것으로 평가되는 非具象作家 朴吉雄의 회화작품을 고찰하여 그의 造形藝術觀과 制作過程, 作品의 특성과 의미를 파악해봄으로써 추상미술의 영역을 보다 넓게, 그러고 적극적으로 이해하는데 도움이 되고자 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 朴吉雄의 創作理念과 方法, 作品世界, 作品의 조형적 특성을 고찰해 보는데 있다. 이상과 같은 연구의 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 1. 朴吉雄의 創作理念은 인간의 原初的인 욕망을 原色의 강력한 대비에 의해서 표현한데 있으며 作品世界는 年代에 따라 초기, 중기, 후기로 분류할 수 있다. 2. 창작은 일찍부터 抽象繪畵를 추구했던바, 抽象初期는 形의 記號空間을 基調로 한 기하학적 패턴의 시기이고, 抽象中期는 有機的 形態의 간결한 표현으로 상징적 회화언어가 형상과 배경관계에서 패턴을 이룬 시기이다. 後期는 다양한 공간이 화면에 표현된 自我槪念의 mandara pattern이 형성된 시기이다. 朴吉雄은 추상세계에 몰두했던 화가일 뿐만 아니라 그 세계를 일관되게 추구했고 개척하였다. 그리고 그 정신과 방법은 안이함을 거부고 지칠 줄 모를 만큼 탐구적이었으며 그가 남긴 수 많은 작품들은 그러한 정신과 방법의 다양한 표현의 산물이었다.;It is useful for us to understand an abstract art by grasping the formative idea, and the characteristics of the works of Park, kil-uong in the modern art in Korea. The purpose of this study is to examine his work process and formative characteristics of his works of art. The thesis went abreast by refering to documents and analyzing his representative works of art. The results of this study are as follows: 1. His idea of art is represented from primitive desire of human beings by using the contrast of a primary color. The work process is chronologically divided into the early, the middle, and the last period. 2. As his work process, the early period is geometric pat pattern, based on a symbolic space of the shape. And the middle period is represented by a simple organic pattern, namely the pattern immersed an imaginal language of vision into the relatin ship between the shape and the space in the picture. The last stage is the , period of expressing a mandara pattern which represents his identity from the space of picture.
