미술감상 교육과 기독교 미술을 활용한 수업방안에 관한 연구 : 중학교과정을 중심으로

Abstract

미술교육의 목표는 미술활동을 통해 표현 및 감상 능력을 기르고, 창의성을 개발하며, 심미적인 태도를 함양하는 것이다. 그러나 지금까지의 우리의 미술교육은 대부분 표현 능력 위주의 교육으로 집중되어 이해교육과 감상교육은 표현 활동의 일부로 존재하거나 매우 소극적으로 이루어져 왔다. 따라서 지금까지의 표현중심의 교육에서 벗어나 표현교육과 감상교육, 이해교육이 서로 조화를 이루어 미술교육의 목적을 다할 수 있도록 미술교육에서 감상교육을 정상화시키고 활성화시키는 방안을 모색해야 한다. 특히, 감상 능력이 그 근본적인 미지식이 중학교의 미술교육에서 이루어짐을 생각해 볼 때 중학교 시기의 미술감상 교육은 미적 감각과 미의식을 높여 균형 잡힌 인격체로 성장시키고 나아가 인격적인 완성을 실현할 수 있도록 체계적이고 구체적인 내용과 지도방법을 제시하여 미술감상이 효율적으로 이루어져야 한다. 그러기 위해서는 감상 수업의 문제점인 미술 감상학습에 대한 인식이 부족, 시간의 부족, 감상 학습자료 및 발상과정과 감상과정에 관한 교육자료의 부족과 다양한 장르의 작품의 수록의 부족을 개선해야 하며, 미술감상 교육을 위한 체계적인 수업모형의 개발이 매우 시급하다. 이를 위해서 본 연구는 바람직한 미술감상 교육을 위해 일반적인 미술감상과 우리 나라의 중학교 과정의 미술감상에 관해 정리하며, 미술감상 교육의 문제점의 개선과 다양한 감상자료의 방안으로써 인간 깊은 차원으로부터 나오는 종교성을 기본으로 하는 기독교 미술을 중심으로 하여, 기독교 미술을 활용한 수업모형을 연구, 다양한 감상 수업의 모형을 유형별로 나누어 제시하였다. <수업모형1>에서는 토론법(분단 감상법)을 사용하여 서양의 기독교 미술의 전개와 시대적 특징을 알고 작품과 작가에 대해 자유롭게 토론하면서 다양한 시각에서 작품을 볼 수 있는 능력을 기를 수 있도록 하였으며, <수업모형2>에서는 작문법을 사용하여 현대의 기독교 미술의 전개와 특징과 현대의 대표적인 기독교 미술의 작가와 작품들을 감상하고 감상문과 비평문을 작성해봄으로써 비평능력을 기를 수 있도록 제작하였다. <수업모형3>에서는 작가연구의 감상유형을 사용하여, 기독교적인 작품의 작가에 대해 이론적으로 충분히 이해하며 더 나아가 작가와 작품과의 내면적인 상호관계를 이해할 수 있도록 모형을 제시하였다. 현대인들은 급격한 과학의 발달로 인하여 물질적으로는 풍요로워졌지만 한계에 부딪쳐, 인간성의 상실과 소외현상을 겪고 있다. 또한, 현대는 시각적인 자극만을 요구하고 있다. 이런 지나친 자극주의는 우리의 정신세계를 위안과 평안보다는 피폐시키는 쪽으로 몰아가고 있다. 그에 반해, 종교화는 신앙과 조형정신이 아름답게 조화되어 보는 이들에게 감동을 준다. 종교화의 영역인 기독교미술을 활용하여 감상자료의 폭을 넓히는 것뿐만 아니라 이런 현대의 혼동 상태를 극복할 수 있는 하나의 방안으로 효과적으로 사용될 수 있으리라 생각되며, 다양하고 세속적인 현대 문화 속에서 다양한 문화에 대한 이해를 도울 수 있으며 현대 사회의 주역이 될 학생들에게 순수한 마음, 숭고한 사랑과 감동을 줄 수 있을 것이다. ; The goal of art education is to nurture the ability to express, ability to appreciate, creativity and aesthetic point of view. But todays art education in Korea is focusing mainly on ability to express. In order to break away from current express-focused art education and achieve the harmony among expression, appreciation and understanding, appreciation education must be normalized and activated. Especially, appreciation education in middle school is very important for teenager groups who are quite ignorant about sentimental ability because they are growing and learning for improving their ability of an esthetic sense and an esthetic consciousness. To make this happen, several things should be improved and reformed. They are lack of understanding of instruction method, lack of time, lack of understanding the importance of proper instruction, lack of proper material, etc. just to name a few. My research suggests Christian Art that are based on the religious nature from the depth of the human nature as one of the fields and materials for the appreciational variety. This paper is made up of four main parts. First, theoretical review of the education in painting-appreciation. Second, appreciation education in middle school of Korea. Third, theoretical review of Christian art. and The last worth of using Christian art paintings as material and Instruction Models of new appreciation education for paintings utilizing Christian art paintings as material. <First Instruction Model> will describe how Western Christian art developed, how to understand characteristic of Western Christian art and offer to get a sense of sight which can discuss about work of art and its artist. <Second Instruction Model> will offer a chance to become an art critic who can appreciate modern religious work of art and artist and can have an ability to write a critical writing. <The Third Instruction Model> will offer a sample model with using a research pattern of artist s appreciation for understanding not only theoretical religious work of art but inside relationship between artists and their work of art. People in modern society enjoy material prosperity thanks to the modern science and technology on one side. But on the other side, they are ruptured, isolated, and alienated from one another. Modern society demands more and more visual sensational excitement. This extreme sensationalism is impoverishing our mental world rather than providing comfort and peace. Christian art paintings, on the contrary, mirrors the artistic conscience of the creator, radiating healthy, beautiful, positive energy as a result that in turn leads to the deep impression to the viewers. Thus. in my opinion. using Christian art paintings as material increase width of material for the appreciation but also help to understand diverse modern culture.
