체육수업 반 구성형태에 따른 여자고등학생들의 체육수업 관심도 및 만족도 조사연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 체육수업 반 구성형태에 따른 여자 고등학생들의 체육수업에 대한 관심도 및 만족도를 분석하여, 앞으로 학교체육수업을 운영하는데 있어 체육수업 반 구성형태에 따라 여학생들의 관심과 만족을 높일 수 있는 체육수업 프로그램을 개발하고 여학생들의 적극적인 체육수업 참여를 위한 방안을 마련하는데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울 강남에 소재한 인문계 고등학교를 모집단으로 선정하여 체육수업 반 구성형태에 따라 남녀공학 혼성반, 남녀공학 비혼성 반, 일반 여자고등학교를 각각 2개교씩 표본 추출하여 여자고등학생 499명으로 하였다. 본 연구에서는 체육수업 반 구성형태에 따른 여자고등학생들의 체육수업에 대한 관심도 및 만족도를 분석하기 위하여 조미혜(1985)의 남녀공학 체육수업에 관한 학생들의 태도조사 연구에서 사용한 질문지, 손권욱(1997)의 고등학교 체육수업과 제7차 교육과정에 대한 인식 및 선호도 분석에 사용한 질문지, 구봉근(1993)의 고등학생들의 체육수업에 대한 관심도 조사연구에서 사용한 질문지를 재구성하였다. 자료분석을 위한 주요 통계기법은 빈도분석, 분산분석(one-way ANOVA)을 실시하였으며, 분산분석을 통하여 유의한 수준이 나온 경우 사후검사(Scheffe test)를 실시하였다. 이상의 연구방법과 절차를 통하여 분석된 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 체육수업 관심도 체육수업 반 구성 형태에 따른 여자고등학생들의 체육수업 관심도는 차이가 있었다. 남녀공학 혼성반의 관심도가 가장 낮았으며, 남녀공학 비혼성반의 관심도가 가장 높게 나타났다. 체육수업 반 구성형태에 대한 관심을 알아본 결과, 남녀공학 혼성반은 어떤 반이든지 상관이 없다, 비혼성반은 남녀공학 비혼성반, 일반 여학교는 일반 여학교 또는 어떤 반이든지 상관없다는 결과를 보였다. 체육수업 종목에 대해서는 모든 집단의 학생들이 육상, 맨손체조, 구기의 종목을 주로 하고 있었으며, 그와는 대조적으로 남녀혼성 체육수업시 관심있는 종목은 포크댄스와 같은 남녀가 함께 할 수 있는 종목을 선호하였다. 2. 체육수업 만족도 체육수업 반 구성형태에 따른 여자고등학생들의 체육수업 만족도는 체육수업 반 구성형태, 체육수업 내용, 체육수업 운영, 체육교사의 수업방식, 남녀혼성 수업에 대하여 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 체육 평가와 학교체육과 사회체육의 연계인식에 대하여서는 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 또한 각 영역에 대한 만족도가 가장 높은 집단은 남녀공학 비혼성반이었으며, 가장 낮은 만족도를 나타낸 집단은 남녀공학 혼성반으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과, 체육수업 반 구성형태에 따라 체육수업 관심도 및 만족도는 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 체육수업에 대한 관심과 만족에 차이를 나타내는 이유는 체육수업 내용의 체계성 부족으로 인한 프로그램 획일화 및 남녀공학 체육프로그램의 부재, 체육교사의 수업방식, 체육시설 및 기자재에 대하여 불만족하기 때문이라고 보여진다. 이는 체육지도자 및 행정가들이 학교체육에 대해 중요성을 인식하고 학생의 입장에서 수업 내용과 운영 프로그램을 개발, 적용하며 획일화된 수업내용이 아닌 체육수업 반 구성형태에 따른 다양한 수업이 이루어 질수 있도록 노력해야 된다고 사료된다. 이를 통하여 여학생들의 체육수업 관심 및 만족를 이끌어 낼 때 여학생들의 적극적인 체육수업에 대한 참여가 이루어지며, 체육교과의 도태를 막을 수 있을 것이라 기대되어진다. ; The objective of this study was to develop a physical education program, which will induce interest and heighten satisfaction of female high school students and to provide the basic material to set up a plan aimed at encouraging active participation of female students. The study was based on the analysis of the level of interest and satisfaction of female high school students from various composition of class on physical education curriculum. To this end, two academic high schools with co-ed classes, two co-ed academic high schools with all girls classes and two girls academic high schools in Kangnam, Seoul were chosen. 499 female high school students were selected as samples from these schools. Cho Mi Hye (1985) s questionnaire on the research study of co-ed students behavior in P.E. lesson, Son Kwon Wook (1997) s questionnaire on the analysis on awareness and preference of high school physical education and the seventh education process, Ku Bong Kun (1993) s questionnaire on the research study on students interest level of high school physical education class were used as the basis of the questionnaire to analyze the rate of interest and satisfaction among female high school students from different class composition of physical education. Frequency analysis, ANOVA (one-way analysis of variance) were employed as statistical methods to analyze the data. In the case of ANOVA, if the difference was too minor, Scheffe test was used to figure out the difference. The research results analyzed through the above method and process could be summarized as follows: The interests of female high school students varied according to the composition of the physical education class. The all girls class of co-ed high school showed the most interest while the co-ed class of co-ed high school displayed the least interest. The environmental variant, which affects the interest rate of P.E. with different class composition, was curriculum of the physical education in co-ed class of co-ed schools, all girls class of co-ed schools and girls high schools. The environmental variant, which affects the satisfaction of P.E., was facility and equipment in co-ed classes of co-ed schools, and the curriculum of the P.E. in all girls classes in co-eds as well as girls high schools. The results were the same in the case of P.E. class environmental variant, which needs to be urgently improved to enhance the interest and satisfaction of high school girls on P.E. The most sports played by high school girls in P.E. were running, gymnastics. The most sports female students wanted to play with male students revealed to be folkdance, mountain climbing/hiking/campin, badminton. The satisfaction of girls high school according to the composition of P.E. class showed significant difference according to composition of P.E. class, curriculum of P.E., the teaching method of the physical educator and between co-ed classes and all girls classes. The reverse was true for the recognition of connection between P.E. education in school and social sports. The following conclusion could be derived from the research results: The level of interest and satisfaction of P.E. differed according to the composition of the P.E. class.
