방과후 학교체육활동의 만족정도에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 방과후 학교체육활동의 지도자(교사·외부강사 포함)와 학생을 통하여 방과후 학교체육활동의 현황을 살펴보고, 그에 대한 만족 정도와 운영에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하여 지도자와 학생 모두가 만족할 수 있는 방과후 학교체육활동의 방안을 마련하는데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울과 경기도 성남에 소재한 남녀공학 중학교 중 방과후 학교체육활동을 실시하고 있는 학교 24개교를 선정하여 중학교에 재학중인 학생 397명과 지도자(교사·외부강사 포함) 96명을 조사하였다. 자료분석을 위한 통계기법은 빈도분석과 요인분석을 실시하였으며, 이상의 연구방법과 절차를 통하여 분석된 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 방과후 학교체육활동의 현황 방과후 학교체육활동의 필요성에 대해 지도자 92.7%, 학생 85.6%가 필요하다고 나타났으며, 현재 참여 종목의 선택은 학생의 적성과 흥미로 이루어지며 평균 2~3개 종목이 실시되고 있다. 그러나, 담당 지도자의 연수교육에 대한 경험여부는 무경험이 85.5%로 나타났다. 2. 방과후 학교체육활동의 환경 만족정도 방과후 학교체육활동의 시설에 대해 지도자 83.9%, 학생 77.0%, 용구에 대해 지도자 89.2%, 학생 76.5%가 불만족한 것으로 나타났으며, 재정적인 지원에 대해서도 지도자와 학생 모두 불만족한 것으로 나타났다. 3. 방과후 학교체육활동의 수업 만족정도 방과후 학교체육활동에 있어서 학교의 관심에 대해서는 지도자 69.3%, 학생 71.3%, 프로그램과 시간수에 대해서 지도자와 학생은 불만족 정도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 4. 방과후 학교체육활동의 운영만족정도 방과후 학교체육활동에 대한 운영체계의 만족정도는 지도자 56.3%, 학생52.4%, 교육적 성과와 학습 자료에 대해서도 지도자와 학생 모두 불만족한 것으로 나타났다. 5. 방과후 학교체육활동의 운영 저해요인 방과후 학교체육활동의 저해요인은 학교행정의 무관심과 시설 미비가 지도자 77.1%, 학생 49.2%로 가장 높게 나타났다. 결론적으로 방과후 학교체육활동은 지도자와 학생에게 모두 필요하며, 학교의 관심 속에 그에 따른 시설, 프로그램, 지도자 등의 제반 여건 마련이 필요하다고 사료되며, 방과후 학교체육활동을 효율적으로 운영하기 위해서는 학교와 교육당국이 교육자료의 개발과 재정적인 지원을 확충하여, 학생들의 적극적인 참여를 통한 흥미와 적성을 신장시켜야 한다고 사료된다. ; The purpose of this research was to investigate the present conditions of the school gymnastic activities after class by inquiries conducted to instructors(teachers and professional trainers from the outside) and students, and to identify factors influencing their satisfaction with and the management of them to ultimately provide basic data for making plans for satisfactory after-class school gymnastic activities to both the teacher and student. The subjects were 397 students and 96 instructors (including both teachers and professional trainers) in 24 coeducational middle schools randomly sampled among those schools located in Seoul and Kyong-gi province and which carried out after-class school gymnastic activities. For analyzing data statistically, frequency analysis and factor analysis were used. And the results from this research can be summarized as follows : 1. The present conditions of the school gymnastic activities after class As for the necessity of the school gymnastic activities after class, 92.7% of the teachers and 85.6% of the students answered those activities were necessary. The items for participation were chosen in accordance with the student s aptitude and interest. The items being executed were 2 or 3 in average, and 85.5% of the instructors in charge said that they had no experience of receiving in-service training. 2. The degree of satisfaction with the environments around the school gymnastic activities after class As for the school gymnastic facilities, 83.9% of the instructors and 77.0% of the students showed dissatisfaction, and in regard to gymnastic goods 89.2% of the instructors and 76.5% of the students showed dissatisfaction. And 81.6% of the instructors were dissatisfied with the financial support. 3. The degree of satisfaction with the school gymnastic activities after class As for the school s concern for the gymnastic activities after class, 69.3% of the instructors and 71.3% of the students showed dissatisfaction, and the degree of dissatisfaction shown by two groups was much higher with the programs and frequency. 4. The degree of satisfaction with the management of the school gymnastic activities after class As for the management system for the school gymnastic activities after class, 56.3% of the instructors and 52.4% of the students showed dissatisfaction, and all the instructors and students were dissatisfied with their educational achievements and learning materials. 5. Obstructive factors in managing the school gymnastic activities after class The most obstructive factor was revealed to be the school s administrative indifference and lack of facilities, which was pointed loy 77.1% of the instructors and 49.2% of the students. Consequently speaking, both instructors and students admitted the necessity of the school gymnastic activities after class but they were generally dissatisfied with the facilities, aiding goods, school s concern, and the education for instructors. Therefore, the school and educational authorities should develop educational materials further and supplement financial support to manage the school gymnastic activities after class effectively to extend students aptitude and interest through active participation in them.
