가족지지 및 인성특성과 청소년의 학교생활 적응간의 관계

Abstract

The main purpose of present research was to examine the relations between family support and personality characteristics of adolescent(self-disclosure to father, mother, and friend, and social responsiveness, extroversion) and school life adjustment competence. And the relations between family support and personality characteristics were examined. Also, the comparative influence which family support and personality characteristics affected to school life adjustment competence were examined. The subjects were 475 2nd grade hige school students(249 boys and 226 girls) living in Seoul. Data were collected using three kinds of questionnaires on school life adjustment competence, family support, and personality characteristics. The main results of the study were as follows: The first, family support was related to four subscales of school life adjustment competence. Both the adolescents adapted themselves better to the teacher relation, schoolmate relation, study attitude and school regulation when they experienced support through the love, care and feelings of security from family. The second, the adolescents personality characteristics were related to the ability of school life adjustment competence. While the self-disclosure to parents were related to teacher relation, study attitude and school regulation both adolescent boys and girls, their schoolmate relation was highly related to extroversion. The third, family support was related to all subscales of adolescents personality characteristics. The more the adolescents felt they were treated as someone important from family, the more extrovert and intimate they were toward their close friends. The fourth, in the comparative influence which family support and adolescents personality characteristics affected to school life adjustment competent, family support was influential in teacher relation, study attitude and school regulation. While the personality characteristics were influential in schoolmate relations. Especially the extroversion proved to the important factor in adolescents schoolmate relations. ; 본 연구의 주목적은 가족지지 및 인성특성(부·모 및 친구에 대한 자기노출, 사회적 반응성 및 외향성)과 청소년의 학교생활 적응(교사와의 관계, 교우관계, 수업태도 및 학교규칙)간의 관계를 비롯하여, 가족지지와 인성특성간의 관계를 살펴보았다. 이와 더불어, 가족지지와 인성특성이 청소년의 학교생활 적응에 미치는 상대적 영향력을 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 한미현(1996)의 사회적 지지 척도 중 가족지지 척도, 유윤희(1994)의 학교생활 적응척도, 그리고 박선영(1998)의 자기노출척도 및 사회적 반응성척도 및 Eysenck와 이현수(1985)의 외향성척도를 이용하여, 남녀공학 고등학교 2학년 남녀학생 475명(남학생: 249명, 여학생: 226명)을 대상으로 조사하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가족지지는 학교생활 적응의 모든 하위요인들과 유의한 관계를 보였다. 청소년들은 가족의 사랑과 관심, 안전의 느낌 등을 통한 지지를 경험할수록 교사와의 관계, 교우관계, 수업태도 및 학교규칙 등의 학교생활에 보다 잘 적응했다. 둘째, 청소년의 인성특성은 학교생활 적응과 유의한 관계를 보였다. 남녀 학생 모두 교사와의 관계, 수업태도 및 학교규칙에 있어서는 부모에 대한 자기노출과의 관련성이 높은데 반하여 교우관계는 외향성 성향과 높은 상관을 갖고 있었다. 셋째, 가족지지는 청소년의 인성특성의 모든 하위요인들과 유의한 관계를 보여서, 가족의 사랑과 관심을 통해 자신이 중요한 사람으로 인정 받는다고 느끼는 청소년일수록 부·모 그리고 친한 친구와 솔직하고 친밀하게 대화하고 외향적이었다. 넷째, 가족지지와 청소년의 인성특성이 학교생활 적응에 미치는 상대적 영향력에서 가족지지는 교사와의 관계, 수업태도 및 학교규칙 등의 학교생활 적응에 대해 인성특성에 비해 더 높은 영향력을 나타낸 반면, 인성특성은 교우관계에 대해 더 높은 영향력을 보였으며, 특히 외향성은 청소년 교우관계에서의 적응에 중요한 변수로 나타났다.
