중학교 1학년 과학 교과서의 탐구실험 교재와 실험평가 준거 개발

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 탐구과정을 중심으로 한 탐구실험 교재를 개발하고 각 탐구실험에 대하여 타당하고 객관적인 실험 수행평가 준거를 개발하는 것이다. 중학교 1학년 과학 교과서의 내용 중 ‘물질의 특성’ 단원의 상태변화, 겉보기 성질, 끓는점, 밀도의 4개 주제를 선택하여 도입-관찰-설명의 3단계로 구성된 학생용 탐구실험서와 교사용 실험지도서를 개발하였다. 그리고, 학생들의 실험 수행과정을 타당하고 객관적으로 평가하기 위하여 각각의 실험에 대한 실험보고서, 실험 기능, 실험태도 평가를 위한 채점기준을 개발하였다. 각 탐구실험 교재는 3인의 과학교육 전문가와 3인의 현장교사에게 타당도를 검증받았으며, 실험평가 준거는 타당도와 함께, 3인의 현장교사가 학생들의 실험보고서를 채점한 결과로부터 채점자 간 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 평가도구를 현장에 적용한 후 학생들의 실험 수행평가 점수와 같은 기간의 지식평가(기말고사) 접수 사이의 상관관계를 알아보았다. 그 결과 r=.41(p<.01)의 상관을 보였으며, 17%(r²=.l7)의 공통 분산 영역만을 보였다. 이 결과는 본 연구에서 적용한 실험 수행평가가 지식평가 문항과는 다른 능력을 측정할 수 있는 것으로 해석할 수 있으며 간접적으로나마 지식·이해면이 아닌 실험을 수행하면서 나타나는 탐구능력 실험 기능 실험 태도 등을 평가하는 도구라고 볼 수 있으므로 수행평가가 강조되고 있는 현 시점에서 효과적으로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.;The purpose of this study is to develope inquiry-based experiments and scoring rubric for these experiments. For this purpose, four experimental subjects were selected from the chapter 'the property of substance' in the middle school science textbooks. The selected subjects are the change of state, external property, boiling point, and density. The students' inquiry-report and the teachers' guide for each experiments were developed and these were composed of three stages, introduction, observation, and explanation. Also three scoring rubrics were developed to evaluate students attiudes during the experiment, and students' inqury-report submitted after the class. The content validity of students' inquiry reports and scoring rubrics were checked by six science instructors. Also the inter-score-reliability in each question and total score were examined. After administering the developed experiments to two classes in the middle school, the inter-scorer reliabilities of scoring students' activity sheets have been examined between three scorers. Also the correlation coefficient between the laboratory scores obtained using three scoring rubrics developed and the scores of written knowledge teste has examined and tured out to be low(r=.41). Therefore, these scoring rubrics can assess parts of students' inquiry process skills which cannot be assessed by written knowledge tests.
