학교무용활동에 대한 관심도 조사연구

Abstract

본 연구는 초등학교 학생들의 학교무용활동에 대한 흥미 및 관심정도를 파악하여 무용교육의 필요성을 재인식시킴과 동시에 학생들이 보다 관심을 가질 수 있는 학교무용활동의 방안을 모색하는데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울시와 경기도 부천시에 소재한 초등학교 중 무용교육을 실시하고 있는 학교 5개교와 무용교육을 실시하지 않는 4개교를 선정하여 5, 6학년 학생 648명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료분석을 위해 사용된 구체적인 실증분석방법은 빈도와 백분율, 유의수준 p<.05에서 (X)² 검증을 활용하여 통계프로그램인 SPSSWIN 9.0을 통하여 자료분석의 목적에 따라 전산처리 하였으며 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 학교무용수업에 대한 관심정도 학교무용수업에 있어서 무용경험이 있는 학생들이 무용경험이 없는 학생들 보다 무용수업을 더 필요하다고 하였으며, 여학생이 남학생보다 무용수업에 더 많은 관심을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 무용수업 운영에 있어서 무용경험에 따라 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으며 전반적으로 학생들이 정상수업을 통해서 일주일에 1시간 씩 이론과 실기를 함께 병행하여 배우기를 희망하는 것으로 나타났다. 성별에 따라 여학생의 경우 방과후 활동이나 특별활동에도 비교적 높은 관심을 보였고 실기위주의 수업을 더 희망하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 무용수업 내용에 있어서는 경험별로 큰 차이를 보이지 않았고 성별에 따라 다소 차이가 있었는데 여학생이 무용을 예술이라고 생각하고 있는 것에 비해 남학생들은 무용을 춤추는 것으로 이해하고 있는 경우가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 남녀 학생들이 모두 가장 배우고 싶어하는 수업내용으로 기타라고 응답하여 째즈 댄스나 힙합댄스, 현대적 감각이 포함된 신나는 율동을 선호하고 있었으며 다음 순으로 창작무용에도 많은 관심을 나타냈다. 2. 학교무용수업 환경에 대한 관심정도 학교무용수업 환경에 있어서 무용경험 유무에 따라 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으며 남녀 학생들 모두 무용전공선생님으로부터 배우기를 가장 선호는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 전반적으로 학생들을 잘 이해하고 친절하게 가르쳐주시는 선생님을 바라고 있었으며, 여학생이 남학생보다 정확한 시범을 보이는 열성적인 선생님에게도 높은 관심을 나타냈다. 남녀 학생들이 무용활동을 배우기에 가장 적합한 장소로는 무용실을 희망하고 있었으며, 무용활동에 가장 중요한 시설로써 음악시설에 많은 관심을 나타내어 무용시설에 있어서 경험별, 성별 큰 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 3. 학교무용활동 참여에 대한 관심정도 무용경험이 있는 학생들이 무용경험이 없는 학생들보다 학교무용활동 참여에 있어서 보다 높은 관심을 나타냈으며, 남학생들은 주로 무용관람을 원하는 반면 여학생들은 무용에 직접 참여하여 배우기를 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 무용참여시 여학생이 남학생보다 스스로 적극적으로 참여하겠다고 함으로써 무용참여에 있어서 성별에 따라 큰 차이를 보였다. 이상에서와 같이 학교무용활동에 대한 관심정도는 무용경험유무와 성별에 따라 차이를 나타냄으로써 무용지도에 있어서 고려해야 할 중요한 부분으로 학교무용활동이 초등학생들의 흥미를 유발하고 보다 효율적으로 운영되기 위해서는 학교의 관심 속에서 그에 따른 무용시간의 확보, 프로그램의 개발, 지도자 등의 제반 여건 마련이 필요하며 초등학교와 중·고등학교의 연계적 교육내용, 무용감상 및 무용공연 관람기회의 확대 등을 통하여 학생의 흥미와 적성을 신장시켜야 할 것이다.;This study is to recognize the necessity of dance education for primary school pupils because they are on the center of school dance activity and they are in rapid growth period when their ability and aptitude can be decided according to environment, to understand their concern and interest level about school dance activity, and then to offer basic data for plans of primary school dance activity. Subjects of this study were 5 primary schools in Seoul and Bucheon which operate dance education and 4 primary schools in Seoul and Bucheon which don't operate dance education, and 648 students of 5 and 6 graders were interviewed. Concrete analysis method for data analysis are frequency, percentage, treated data by SPSSWIN 9.0, a stastical program using (X)² verification within p<.05 the results are as follows. 1. Interest about school dance activity Students who experienced dance expressed higher necessity of dance education than students who didn't, and schoolboys' necessity level was 21.2% and schoolgirls' necessity level was 61.9%, so girls want dance class much more than boys. Interest about operating dance education for school Mostly, students want to learn theory and practice by 1 hour regular class in a week, girls are interested in special activity after school and hope a class centering on practice likewise dance-experienced students. 2. Interest about the curriculum of school dance activity The most interesting lesson is guitar, and then jazz dance, hiphop dance which include modern sense and exciting rhythm, the last was creative dance. Interest about teachers of dance education for school Students prefer to be taught by teachers who majored in dance, they hope that teachers understand students so well and teach them friendly, girls and dance-experienced students prefer earnest teachers. Interest about facilities for dance education in school The most suitable place for dance activity is dance training room and musical equipments are the most important thing for dance activity, so students show great interest about them. 3. Interest about participation in dance activity for school Dance-experienced students were interested in participation in dance much more than non-experienced students, schoolgirls optimistic response percentage was higher than schoolboys. In addition, 52.3% of girls responded that they participate in dance activity 12.8% of boys responded that they do, so boys want to view dance in general girls want to participate in dance and learn in person. As above, concern and interest level of primary school pupils is an important part of dance education. To rouse up interest of children and operate school dance activity for health promotion, general conditions such as insurance of dance class, program development, trainers under schools' interest, students interest and aptitude should be grown by successive curriculum of primary schools and middle schools, dance appreciation and expanded chances to see dance performance
