초등학생의 무용특기적성과 사설무용학원의 참여에 대한 인식도와 만족도 조사연구

Abstract

본 연구는 초등학생의 무용 특기·적성과 사설무용학원의 무용활동 참여에 대한 인식과 만족도 차이를 알아보고 관계를 밝혀 특기·적성 무용활동 활성화와 심화학습단계로의 사설무용학원 발전을 위한 기초자료를 제시하는데 그 목적을 두고 이를 위한 연구방법으로 설문지 조사법을 이용하였다. 설문조사의 연구대상으로 서울에 소재하고 있는 초등학교 중 특기·적성 무용교육을 실시하고 있는 초등학교와 사설무용학원을 임의추출 하여 선정된 초등학교와 사설무용학원에서 방과 후 학생 선택으로 무용교육을 받고 있는 무용경험 1년 이상의 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년을 대상으로 각 집단별 150명씩 총 300명에게 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 자료처리 방법은 교차분석, t-test, 일원변량분석을 실시하였고 SPSSWIN 12.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 이상의 연구방법과 절차를 통하여 초등학생의 특기·적성 무용활동과 사설학원 무용활동 참여에 대한 인식과 만족도에 대한 차이를 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 무용 특기·적성과 사설무용학원 참여자의 무용활동 참여에 대한 인식은 무용 발표회 유·무와 발표회 희망을 제외한 불참이유, 프로그램, 참여동기, 참여이유, 참여빈도, 참여기간, 교사·교실·수업에 바라는 점에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 각각의 집단에서 학년에 따른 만족도의 차이를 살펴본 결과, 무용 특기·적성 참여자들은 시설·환경과 프로그램에서 5, 6학년에 비해 4학년이 높은 만족을 하는 것으로 나타나 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 운영, 지도교사, 효과에 대한 만족도는 학년 간의 차이 없이 만족하였다. 또한 사설무용학원 참여자들은 지도교사에 대한 만족도가 4, 5학년에 비해 6학년이 높은 만족을 히는 것으로 나타나 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 운영, 시설·환경, 프로그램, 효과에 대한 만족도는 학년 간의 차이 없이 만족하였다. 셋째, 무용 특기·적성과 사설무용학원 참여자의 만족도 차이를 살펴본 결과 전체적인 만족도는 사설무용학원 참여자들이 무용 특기·적성 참여자들보다 높은 만족을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 만족도 요인별로 살펴보면, 운영과 시설·환경에 대한 만족도는 사설무용학원의 학생들이 높은 만족을 하는 반면에 지도교사에 대한 만족도는 무용 특기·적성을 하는 학생들이 높았으며, 프로그램과 효과에 대한 만족도는 통계적으로 유의한 차이 없이 높은 만족을 하였다. 위와 같은 결과를 종합해 볼 때 초등학교에서는 무용교육의 활성화를 위해 다양한 특기·적성 프로그램 개발과 시설확보가 필요하며, 사설무용학원은 학교교육 심화학습 단계로서 무용 특기·적성 수업내용과의 연계성을 고려한 프로그램 개발과 효율적인 수업 운영방안을 위한 연구가 지속되어야 할 것이다.;The purpose of this study is to survey elementary students for their participation in and satisfaction with the special skill and aptitude programs and private dance institute, and thereby, provide for some basic data useful to development of the after school education dance programs and the higher level private dance institute. For this purpose, the elementary schools operating the after school education dance programs in Seoul were sampled, together with the private dance tutoring institutes. Then, 300 students who had been taught dance at elementary school or private institute for more than a year were sampled. The collected data were processed for cross analysis, T-test and univariance analysis. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; First, there was found some significant difference between two groups in terms of reason for absence, types of dance, motivation, reason for participation, frequency of participation, period of participation, and requests for teacher, classroom and program. Second, as a result of analyzing students' satisfaction with the special dance programs depending on their grades, there was found some significant difference of satisfaction with the programs in terms of facilities, environment and program contents in case of the students participating in school dance program, and in terms of teachers' quality in case of the students attending private tutoring institute. Third, as a result of analyzing the differences of satisfaction with the special dance programs between two groups, it was found that those students attending private tutoring institute were more satisfied with program operation, facilities and environment, while those students participating in school dance programs were more satisfied with the dance teachers. Both groups were highly satisfied with the programs themselves and their effects. Summing up, the elementary schools are obliged to develop diverse special skill and aptitude programs and expand facilities to activate dance education for elementary student, while the private dance tutoring institutes are required to develop higher level dance education programs in connection with school dance programs and operate them in a more efficient way.
