도시 환경과 조각에 관한 연구

Abstract

현대 도시 환경에 옥외조각을 설치하여 쾌적한 환경을 창조한다는 것은 어려운 일이다. 서울 도심지 건물 앞 옥외조각에 있어서 환경과 조각의 관계에서 추구되어야 할 관점을 문제로 제기한다. 본 연구의 목적은 환경과 조각과의 관계에 있어서 서울 도심지 옥외조각을 중심으로 옥외조각과 환경에 관계되는 문제점을 조사하는데 있다. 본 연구의 방법은 작품과 질문지를 분석 도구로 하고, 연구 대상은 서울 도심지 옥외조각을 대상으로 조사하였다. 질문지는 서울시 3個 미술대학의 조소과 3·4학년 학생 530명을 대상으로하여 서울시내 건물과 옥외조각에 대한 의견을 종합하였다. 질문지 분석 결과는 건축물 부설 예술품 설치 의무화 규정은 긍정적으로 받아들이나 실제적으로 환경과의 부조화, 편중된 작가선정 등으로 작품의 질적 수준의 저하를 가져왔다. 그러므로 서울시내 옥외조각에 있어서 여러가지 문제점이 드러나고 있어서 이에 대한 문제점 검토등이 종합적으로 추구되어야 한다.;It is difficult to create a delightful circumstance by setting up outdoor sculptures in modern city. I bring forward creation which is the core subject of the outdoor sculptures standing in front of buildings, and the subject which is researched between circumstances and sculptures. The aims of this study are to analyze creation of the outdoor sculptures attached to buildings in Seoul City and to research problems related to outdoor sculptures and circumstances of the city. As the method of this study, works and questionnairs are used for analyzing. Then after four imitations of foreign works with creation are sampled as the subjects of investigation, they are compared with the originals. The objects of the questionnaires are 530 students who are juniors and seniors majoring in Plastic Arts of three universities in Seoul. The questionnaires put to gether their opinions about the buildings and sculptures in the city. The results of the analyzing and comparing are following, since these four works have similar forms, structures, colors, space treatment and features, and have same basic form with the foreign originals, it shows that they imitated the foreign works. Then, as he result of analyzing the questionnaires : the objects accepted affirmatively the duty of establishing sculptures attached to any architecture, its duty, however, brings actually a falling-off in quality by an unbalance between circumstances and the sculpture, and a preponderant selecting sculpturors. Thus, it needs makers' reflection and investigates general checking problems about enforcement the rule for the outdoor sculptures of Seoul City.
