탐구지향적 일반화학실험 보고서 평가를 위한 구체적 평가틀 개발에 관한 연구

Abstract

This study aimed at developing the Special Assessment Critera and Scale(SACS) for process skills of the inquiry laboratory reports. The inquiry-Oriented general chemistry laboratory program had been developed previously through inquiring reconstruction of the general chemistry laboratory for the science education students. This study proceeded as following order. The Special Assessment Criteria and Scales(SACS) of the inquiry laboratory reports for five xperiment subjects have been developed. The assessment of each 5 laboratory reports by using each SACS of those topics were disscussed in detail for experimental group. The paper-pencil final test as group task in the general chemistry laboratory was treated to two groups of students. One was the experimental group who had done inquiry laboratory for two semester. The other was control group who had done inquiry laboratory for one semester and conventional laboratory for one semester. The SACS of final group task have been developed and used to assess final examination. The modified second SACS of final examination were developed by based upon the first SACS. The assessment of final eamination by using both the first and second SACS were analyzed in detail for two groups. The higher achivement of process skill assessment for laboratory reports was related to more content-dependent of experiment than the length of experienced time for inquiring experiment. The average assessment sores of experimenal group were higher than those of control group.;본 연구는 사범대학 과학교육과 학생들이 수강하는 일반화학실험을 탐구적으로 재구성하여 개발된 탐구지향적 일반화학실험 프로그램을 실험목표에 부합되는 평가가 이루어질 수 있도록 각 주제의 탐구실험보고서에 대한 탐구과정기능 요소별 구체적 평가틀을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 다음과 같은 절차를 거쳐 진행되었다. 학생들이 실험과정에서 작성한 탐구실험보고서와 남정희(1996)가 개발한 실험에서의 탐구과정기능의 평가도구인 GACS를 토대로 하여 우선 1학기에 실시한 탐구실험 중 5개의 주제에 대한 탐구실험 보고서의 구체적 평가틀을 개발하였다. 개발한 5개의 주제에 대한 구체적 평가틀을 이용하여 학생들의 실험보고서를 평가함으로써 탐구실험의 횟수가 증가함에 따라 탐구과정기능이 향상되는지 알아보았다. 1년간 탐구실험을 경험한 실험반 학생들과 한학기간 탐구실험을 적용한 비교반 학생들을 대상으로 실시한 학년말 일반화학실험 조별과제 지필평가의 구체적 평가틀을 1차적으로 개발하고 이를 이용하여 학생들의 응답내용을 평가하였다. 평가과정에서 도출된 문제점을 분석하여 수정보완한 2차 평가틀을 개발하였다. 개발된 2차 평가틀을 이용하여 학생들의 응답내용을 평가함으로써 1년간 탐구실험을 경험한 실험반 학생들과 한학기간 탐구실험을 경험한 비교반 학생들의 탐구과정기능에 차이가 나는지를 알아보았다. 1학기에 실시한 5개의 탐구실험에 대한 학생들의 실험보고서를 평가한 결과, 탐구과정기능의 향상정도가 실험횟수의 증가에 기인한다고 볼 수 없으며, 그 실험 내용에 상당히 의존(content-dependent)하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 학년말 일반화학실험 조별과제 지필평가 결과, 모든 탐구과정기능 요소에서 1년간 탐구실험을 경험한 실험반 학생들의 조별평균점수가 한학기간 탐구실험을 경험한 비교반 학생들의 조별평균점수보다 높았다. 학년말 일반화학실험 조별과제 지필평가의 1차 평가틀을 이용한 평가결과와 2차 평가틀을 이용한 평가결과를 비교해 본 결과, 보다 합당한 탐구과정기능의 평가를 위해서는 수정보완한 2차 평가틀을 개발하여 평가하는 것이 마땅하나 탐구과정기능의 상대적인 비교를 하는데는 별 차이가 없었다.
