최근 우리나라 인문계 고등학교 화학 교과서와 미국의 CHEM study의 내용 비교 연구

Abstract

The textbook, of senior high school chemistry in Korea and CHEM Study in U. S. A. were analyzed and proposed ideas by several following points; 1. The contents of the textbook of senior high school chemistry (chemistry I and chemstry Ⅱ) in Korea and CHEM Study in U. S. A. were compared and analyzed. 2. The Figures, Cuts, and Tables of the textbook of Korean senior high school and CHEM Study were compared. 3. The results of this study are given below; The basic concepts of the chemistry which are the important principles of the modern chemistry were emphasized in the text- book using up-to-date. But the lack of the practical laboratory works in chemistry is still existing in the present situation. Also, the environmental chemistry and applied chemistry are not treated in the contents of the textbooks in the high school in Korea. It might be emphasized in the future contents of the textbooks in the senior high school in Korea.;본 연구는 1981년에 개정된 교육과정에 의거하여 3차로 개정되어 1984년 3월부터 사용되고 있는 인문계 고등학교 화학Ⅰ 교과서 5종과 화학Ⅱ 교과서 5종을 합한 10권과 미국의 CHEM Study 화학 교과서를 다음과 같이 비교한 것이다. 1. 우리나라의 인문계 고등학교 화학 교과서와 미국의 CHEM Study화학의 내용을 분류하여 각각 어떤 부분에 중점을 두었는지 비교하였다. 2. 우리나라의 화학 교과서와 CHEM Study 화학의 삽화수를 비교하였다. 3. 우리나라의 화학 교과서와 CHEM Study 화학의 실험지도서에 나와있는 실험의 종류를 비교하였다. 4. 우리나라의 화학 교과서와 CHEM Study 화학의 실험지도서에서 사용된 시약과 기구의 종류를 비교하였다. 이상과 같은 방법으로 우리나라의 화학 교과서와 CHEM Study 화학을 비교해 본 결과는 다음과 같았다. 1. 우리나라의 화학 교과서와 미국의 CHEM Study 화학은 모두 다 화학의 기초 개념 및 원리의 습득에 중점을 둔 것임을 알았다. 2. 실험 내용면에서는 우리나라 화학 교과서의 실험보다 CHEM Study 화학의 실험이 훨씬 다양하고 시간과 경비도 많이 들 것으로 예상되므로 CHEM Study 화학의 실험은 우리나라의 현실에는 맞지 않는 것으로 생각된다. 3. 기본 개념의 구조화라는 세계적인 추세에 맞게 교과서가 개정되었으나 교재의 내용 전개에 있어서 CHEM Study 화학에서처럼 좀 더 많은 실험의 결과와 그림을 이용해서 이론을 이해시키도록 했으면 한다.
