Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate the educational needs in the context of the objectives fo the physical education in middle school. It measured the perceived importance of the educational objectives and their emphasis in actual practice by the participants : teachers, students, parents. The problems in the study were as follows: 1. Degree of importance of the educational objectives perceived by the participants 2. Educational objectives emphasized in actual practice perceived by the three groups respectively. 3. Analyzing differences between the perceived importance of the objectives and their emphasis in practice. 4. Comparing the degree of importance and emphasis respectively among the groups. Opinions of 33 teachers, 138 students, 104 parents of 5 maddle school in V˘ijo˘ng-bu were surreyed through questionnaires. Selection was made through purposive sampling techniques. Maior findings of this study were as follows: 1. The order fo priority on perceived importance of educational objectives was sense of responsibility, endurance, law-abiding, cooperation, safety. On the other hand, the order of priority on perceived importance of objectives rated low was fundamental learning obility, development of physical education, athletic effect, expresson, game rule. 2. The order of priority on educational objectives emphasized in practice was improvement of fitness, cooperation, Law-abiding, human relations, safty. However, development of physical education, athletic effect, lifelong sports, game rule were neglected objectives in practice. Among the groups, teachers showed the most positive response when asked if the objectives were practiced. On the other hand, Stadents did not feel that perceived educational objectives were well reflected in the practice. 3. With the results of statistical analysis stated above, it was found that threr was a gap between the expected educational objectives and their emphasis in reality. The gap ranged from 1.36 to 0.57. The order of the largest gap size between expected and reflected objectives was as follows : lifelong sports, endurance, deternination. 4. There were significant differences in perceived importance of educational objectives among the groups.;본 연구는 중학교 체육과 교육과정에 제시되어 있는 교육목표를 분석하여 교육적 요구를 밝히려는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 위하여 설정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 교육목표의 중요도에 대한 지각경향 2. 교육목표의 실현도에 대한 지각경향 3. 교육목표의 중요도와 실현도간의 차이 비교 4. 교육목표의 중요도와 실현도에 대한 집단별 비교 또한 본 연구는 조사연구로서 대상은 의정부시내 5개 중학교에서 교사 33명, 학생 138명, 학부모 104명을 임의로 표집하였다. 연구의 결과를 요약해 보면 아래와 같다. 1. 전반적으로 목표의 중요성에 대해 긍정적으로 지각하고 있었으며, 특히 인내심, 준법성, 협동심, 사고예방, 안전생활 순으로 중요하게 지각하고 있었다. 반면에 중요성에 낮게 지각된 목표는 체육의 발달, 운동의 효과, 표현력, 경기규칙 순으로 나타났다. 2. 학교 실제에서 잘 실현되고 있다고 지각된 목표는 체력의 향상, 협동심, 준법성, 인간관계, 안전생활 순으로 나타났으며 등한시 되고 있는 목표는 체육의 발달, 운동의 효과, 여가선용, 경기규칙 순이었다. 학교 실제에 있어서 교육목표 실현정도에 대한 집단별 경향을 보면 세 집단 중에서 교사 집단이 가장 긍정적인 반응을 보였으며 다음이 학부모, 학생 집단 순이었다. 3. 교육목표의 중요도와 실현도간의 차이를 검증해 본 결과 모두 통계적으로 의의있는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상과 현실간의 차이가 가장 크게 지각된 목표는 여가선용, 사고예방법, 인내심, 결단력, 운동의 원리 및 개념의 순으로 나타났다. 4. 교육목표의 중요도와 실현도에 있어서의 집단간 차이에 대한 유의도를 검증해 본 결과 중요도에 대한 집단간 지각경향에 있어서 의의있는 차가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또 실현도에서도 집단간 유의한 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다.
