음악교육을 위한 인터넷 사이트 구성방안 연구

Abstract

Since the arrival of the knowledge-based society, each country is actively leading large-scale, nation-wide IT (Information Technology) projects. Consequently, efforts are also made in the education field, to raise the competence of students, demanded by a future society where globalization, information technology, and diversity are highly valued. The Internet has emerged as an effective means to implement multi-media education in the music field. The aim of this research is to analyze the elements needed to build up a musical education site that is systematic and integrated for the middle school level. Furthermore, study presents methods to construct a standard Internet site for music education. First of all, previous articles and interrogative interviews with junior high school music teachers in Seoul were examined to study current Internet uses in musical education. More specifically, computer uses in music education, Internet uses in the music classes, and system operations of Internet sites for music education were investigated with an emphasis on the teachers point of view. The Study analyzes the certified junior high school textbooks to collect elements making an effective Internet site for music education. Not only important theoretical elements such as rhythm, melody, harmony, tone color, intensity and tempo, but also activities like singing, playing instruments, appreciation, and composition were taken as guideline, which is from the Ministry of Education. It resulted in identifying several shortcomings of a traditional textbooks and this led to a study of how Internet-based education can compensate such deficiencies. While textbooks provide theory-oriented learning, the Internet enables students to learn through multimedia materials composed of sound, image, and movie clips, allowing multi-sensing experiences. While textbooks deal with theory and activity separately, the Internet supports them in an integrated fashion. While textbooks lack various songs and reference materials, the Internet can help find them and take advantage of different kinds of useful materials. By means of Internet e-mail or BBS(Bulletin Board System) in home pages, teachers can monitor students progress and give an immediate and individual feedback back to them on their work. Students can select a class according to their level of understanding and evaluate their achievement independently. Updated information helps teachers make up for the limitations of the given textbook and extend their teaching. For the sake of better Internet education, following suggestions were drawn from the conclusions. First, Educational guideline the Ministry of Education can be the basis to find the important elements for musil education sites. Second, reference sites sampled for this study can be used as a standard to develop various Internet sites for effective music education. Third, it is necessary to apply the results of this work to the real class and get the teachers responses, in order to verify the confidence and propriety of the study. Fourth, both the teachers and students need to understand the Internet media well. The teachers are especially required to know the Internet environment in depth, and the school should construct the infrastructure needed for Internet-based education. Lastly, new pedagogy and study models need to be developed to fully utilize the Internet media.;지식정보사회의 도래와 함께 세계 각 국은 국가차원의 대규모 정보화 사업을 추진하고 있으며 이에 따라 교육현장에서도 세계화, 정보화, 다양화 등 미래 사회가 요구하는 자기 주도적이고 창의적으로 문제해결 능력을 가진 유능한 인재를 육성하는 데에 중점을 두고 있다. 이러한 시대적 흐름에 부응하여 현 음악 교육 현장에는 멀티미디어적 기능을 부가시키기 위한 효과적 방법으로 인터넷 활용의 중요성이 커지고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 교육환경과 교육체제의 변화에 발맞추어 인터넷을 활용하여, 중학교 음악교육과정을 중심으로 체계적이고 통합적인 인터넷 사이트 제작을 위한 효과적인 구성 요소들을 연구하였다. 이를 통해 기준이 되는 인터넷 음악교육 사이트를 구축하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 연구과정으로는 선행연구 자료들을 분석하였고 서울시 중학교 교사들을 대상으로 인터뷰를 실시하여 컴퓨터 활용의 일반적 태도, 음악수업에서 인터넷 활용 상황, 음악교육 관련된 홈페이지 운영 현황 등 교육현장에서 어떤 형태로 인터넷을 활용하고 있는지에 대하여 교사의 인식을 중심으로 음악교육의 인터넷 활용, 실태 조사를 하였다. 효과적 인터넷 사이트 실행을 위한 음악내용 구성요소들은 교육부의 중학교 교육과정과 이에 따라 검정된 교과서를 분석하였다. 음악교과 내용분석은 서양 음악을 중심으로 이해면의 리듬, 가락, 화성, 음색, 셈여림 및 빠르기와 활동면의 가창, 기악, 감상, 창작으로서 교육부의 내용구분에 따라 분석하였다. 그 결과 교과서에서는 구현될 수 없었으나 인터넷교육에서는 효율적으로 극복될 수 있는 점을 요약해 보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교과서는 이해 영역과 활동 영역을 나누어 학습하고 있었지만 인터넷 상에서는 소리, 이미지, 동영상 등의 멀티미디어자료를 통해 이해와 활동영역을 통합적으로 지원하여 다감각적인 경험을 할 수 있게 한다. 둘째, 교과서는 부동적인 자료의 한계성으로 관련된 예시곡이나 참고자료가 부족했지만 인터넷상에서는 다양한 학습 자료 형태를 찾고 정보를 수집하여 새로운 지식을 계속 업그레이드시켜 줄 수 있다. 셋째, 학생의 이해 수준에 맞추어 난이도를 달리하여 학습내용을 제시할 수 있고 현재 활동하고 있는 음악가 또는 현직 음악선생님의 홈페이지의 전자우편이나 게시판을 활용하여 학습과정을 모니터링하고 즉각적이고 개별적인 피드백을 제공 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 결론을 통해 발전적인 제언을 하면 수없이 많은 정보에 노출되어 있는 시점에서 교육부의 검정기준을 통해서 실제적인 음악교육 인터넷 사이트의 구성요소 기준들을 보여 줄 수 있을 것이고 음악교육의 적합한 사이트의 보급을 위한 기초단계가 될 것이다. 하지만 본 연구 결과의 검증에 대한 신뢰도와 타당도를 높이기 위해서는 현장 적용 및 교사들의 반응도 조사함이 필요하겠다. 앞으로 교사와 학습자의 매체에 대한 이해와 함께 학교에서의 인터넷 활용 교육을 위한 새로운 교수-학습 모형을 개발하면 보다 효율적으로 지도할 수 있을 것이다.
