Abstract
본 연구는 체육 선택교과에 대한 고등학생들의 인식과 선택 이유를 조사함으로써 그 결과를 토대로 고등학교 체육교과 운영 방법의 개선 방향을 탐색하고 나아가 체육 프로그램 연구 개발에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 연구를 위해서 본 연구는 서울시에 위치하고 있는 인문계 고등학교 1학년에 재학 중인 남, 여학생 450명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 연구 결과 남학생이 여학생 보다 체육교과를 더 많이 선택 하였고 체육 성적이 좋을수록 체육교과 선택을 더 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 체육교과 선택자는 체육교과 선호이유에 대하여 '체육 수업이 재미있어서'. 스트레스 해소가 되기 때문에' 순으로 나타났고 체육교과 비 선택자의 체육교과 비 선호 이유는 '운동 기능 수행에 자신이 없어서로 나타났다. 본 연구는 체육 선택교과에 대한 고등학생들의 인식과 선택이유를 조사함으로써 그 결과를 토대로 고등학교 선택중심 교육과정의 체육교과 운영 방법과 개선 방향을 탐색하고 더 나은 체육 프로그램 연구 개발에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하였다고 볼 수 있다.;The purpose of this study was to explore the direction of enhancement on management strategy for high-school physical education by the research on how the students perceive about physical education as an optional course and by the discovering the reason why they selected it. Then, this study would be further to provide the basic resources required for the research development of physical education. In the process, a survey was performed on a total of 450 freshmen in liberal arts department of the high-schools located in Seoul, and 408 surveys were returned and analyzed at the end. The collected data was analyzed by the process with data coding, data cleaning, SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science), and v. 12.0 statistic package program. Propriety of this survey was established by the fact that analysis of primary factors were performed on the fourteen questionaries regarding the recognition of physical education subject of the participants and the twenty questionaries regarding the factors which attracted the participants to choose physical education. Reliability was established by the fact that the numerical value through Cronbach's Alpha was over 0.6. Technical statistic analysis was performed to discover the recognition rate of physical education of the participants and affected factors for them to choose the course. 'One-way ANOVA', 'T-test' was given to discover the differentiated characteristics of the participants classified by each reasoning from factor analysis. The following was the summary of the analyzed results of this research study. First, The data showed more male students selected physical education subject than female students. Also the data shows more students who get good grades in physical education subject are more willing to choose the course. Also in the survey questionary to discover the reason for the select students to prefer physical education, 94 students(58.8%) responded they selected the course because it was fun, and 35 students(21.9%) responded they selected the course to release the stress. And In the survey questionary to discover the reason for the didn't select students not to prefer physical education, 49 students(68.1%) responded they are not confident in performing physical activities. Second, recognition of the students who selected physical education on organizational management of curriculum, the goal of physical education, and the evaluation was relatively high. However, the recognition on physical education of overall students was low(average 2.45), and it meant the recognition of importance of physical education was low. However the students who had better grades had higher recognition on the achievement of the goal of "Physical education and Health" and the evaluation. Third, the result from the questionaries regarding "Contents and effectiveness of the class" showed average distribution of 3.25, so the contents and effectiveness came out to be the most affective reasons. The mean value was comparably higher on the male students with higher grades and the students who selected physical education for their option, so these participants were specially chosen physical education for its contents and the effectiveness. Also the questionaries regarding "Teaching capability of the instructors" showed average distribution of 3.01, so teaching capability of instructors came out to be the moderate reason for the students to choose physical education.
