중학교 무용교육 현황과 만족도에 대한 조사연구

Abstract

This study aims at systematically analyzing the status and satisfaction of dance education on the physical education curriculum at middle school to show the developmental basic data. For this, it made a survey of the management and status of dance teaching on 50 physical teachers at public coeducational middle schools located in the southern district of Gyeonggi province, and of the satisfaction on 360 students at four schools conducting dance teaching among these middle schools. It made an analysis of data through the T-test and ANOVA on the basis of literatures related to dance education and questions made up by Gang Mi Young (2002), Kim Yun Kyung (2002) and Hwang Jung En (2003). The results are as follows. First, analysis of the status showed that many physical teachers are now voluntarily choosing the contents to give lessons in dance based on the teaching time a year for physical curriculum. And they answered in a negative way for the facilities and equipment necessary to dance teaching. In other words, they fail to give lessons in dance effectively on account of facility imperfection. Second, analysis of the satisfaction showed that they are greatly satisfied with items such as the teaching time, mixed gender teaching and teaching of textbook contents. On the other hand, they answered in a negative way for the facilities and equipment necessary to dance teaching. Third, analysis of the satisfaction by sex showed that girl students are satisfied with dance teaching compared to boy students. And for the satisfaction by grade, many third graders are greatly satisfied with items such as necessity for dance teaching and understanding of teachers. Also, for the satisfaction by teacher's major, students educated from teacher of dance major are satisfied with it compared to those uneducated from him on an average. It is imperative that realize the educational value of dance and goal of original human rearing from school by understanding the dance education's troubles to improve it based on the results mentioned above.;본 연구는 중학교 무용교육 현황과 만족도를 체계적으로 분석하여 ‘중학교 무용교육’의 발전적인 기초 자료를 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 첫째, 체육교과 내 무용 수업 현황에 대한 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 체육교사의 무용수업 실시 여부에 대한 응답은 59.6%였고, 수업의 내용은 교사 임의대로 선정하여 지도한다고 응답하였다. 2. 무용 수업에 필요한 시설 및 기자재에 대한 응답은 대체적으로 부정적이었다. 3. 무용에 대한 교사의 관심도는 68.1%로 나타났고, 교사의 연수현황은 연중 1회가 가장 많았으며 상당수가 본인의 부담으로 충당하고 있는 실정이었다. 둘째, 체육교과 내 무용수업 현황에 대한 학생들의 만족도 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 무용수업의 시수에 대해서는 대체적으로 만족한다는 응답이었고, 실기위주의 수업보다는 이론이나 시청각 병행수업을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 2. 시설 및 기자재에 대한 만족도는 장소를 제외하고는 대부분이 부정적인 응답이었다. 3. 성별에 따른 만족도에는 여학생의 평균이 높게 나타났고, 학년별 만족도는 3학년이 대체로 높게 나타났으며. 교사의 전공별 만족도에는 무용전공 교사의 수업이 전반적으로 높게 나타났다. 이와 같은 분석결과를 바탕으로 행정당국과 학교는 무용교육의 문제점을 파악하고 개선할 수 있는 구체적인 방안을 모색하여, 체계적이고 다양한 교육을 실행시킴으로서 무용의 교육적인 가치를 학생들에게 전달시켜 창의적인 인간육성의 목적을 실현시키도록 노력해야 할 것이다.
