초등학생의 창의성 향상을 위한 소그룹 음악활동 연구

Abstract

현대 사회에서 점차적으로 요구하고 있는 고차적 사고 능력인 창의성은 누구에게나 존재하는 것이므로 유아기에서부터 그 잠재력을 끌어내고 꾸준히 교육되어야 한다. 특히 자칫 수렴적 사고로 굳어질 수 있는 초등학교시기에 학과 과정 외의 소그룹 활동을 통해 창의성 향상을 꾀하는 것이 필요하다. 또한 창의성 향상에 영향을 줄 수 있다고 입증되어진 음악을 매개로 하여 체계적인 활동을 계획한다면, 아동들에게 동기를 부여하고 음악적 보상을 통해 활동에 몰입하게 함으로써 그 효과를 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 시점에서 본 연구는 창의성 이론을 기초로 하여 창의성 향상을 위한 소그룹 형태의 음악활동을 구성하고 이를 학생들에게 적용한 후 그 효과를 검증하여, 창의성의 향상을 위해 수업 외적 활동을 효과적으로 구성하고 진행하는 한 방안을 마련하는데 그 목적이 있다. 창의성의 다양한 정의 및 창의성 이론의 인지적 · 인성적 · 통합적 접근 및 음악이 창의성에 미치는 효과에 대한 연구 등을 토대로 창의성 향상을 위한 음악 활동을 계획하였다. 또한 각 활동은 Treffinger의 CPS를 응용한 3단계 활동으로 구성되었으며, 10회의 활동을 심화 단계에 따라 크게 3단계로 나누어 진행하였다. 사전 창의성 점수가 동일하다고 인정되는 초등학교 4학년 25명의 학생 중 12명을 실험집단으로, 13명을 통제집단으로 설정하여 5주 동안 총 10회에 걸쳐 본 활동을 적용하였다. TTCT 도형 A, B검사를 이용하여 사전 · 사후 검사를 실시하였으며, 공분산분석으로 결과를 해석하였다. 분석 결과 실험집단은 총 창의성 검사점수와 창의성의 4가지 하위 요소 중 유창성, 독창성, 정교성에서 통제집단에 비하여 유의미한 점수 변화가 있었으며, 융통성에서는 점수의 변화는 있었지만, 유의미한 값을 나타내지 않았다. 본 연구에서 계획된 음악활동 프로그램은 창의성 이론을 기초로 하고, 3단계의 심화 과정으로 구성되었다. 또한 활동의 효과를 최대화할 수 있는 환경을 만들기 위하여 소그룹 활동을 제시하였다. 더불어 음악 활동을 통하여 음악적 창의성 뿐 아니라 일반적 창의성, 그 중에서도 인지적 요소가 향상될 수 있다는 연구들을 재검증하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 창의성 이론 및 음악의 역할을 다방면적으로 고려하여 음악활동을 구성하고 창의성 발휘를 위한 최대한의 환경을 제공하려는 시도를 하였다는데 의의가 있으며, 또한 본 연구에서 고안된 음악활동은 일반적인 창의성 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다고 말할 수 있다.;Since creativity, a high-level thinking ability, which modern society demands more and more exists in anyone, it needs to be drawn out of children even from their infant periods and be educated continuously. Children are to be encouraged to enhance their creativities in their elementary years because possibly, creativity power can be hardened by collective thinking in those days. And the effect can be enhanced by motivating and absorbing children in the activities through music rewards, if systematic activities are planned through the media of music proved to affect on creativity improvement. At this point, this study set up a purpose to prepare a device composing and processing extracurricular activities effectively for creativity improvement by verifying the effect after composing small group form music activities for creativity improvement and applying them to children on the basis of creativity theory. On the basis of the studies on the various definitions of creativity, and on the effects of perceptional, humanistic and integral approach for the creativity theory and of music which affect on creativity, activities to improve creativity were planned. Each activity was composed of three stages to which the Treffinger's CPS(Creative Problem Solving) was applied and 10 times' activities broadly divided by the 3 stages with deepening processes was composed as well. And among 25 students in the fourth grade who are recognized to have the same creativity score in an elementary school children , 12students in the test group and 13 students in controlled group were set up and applied to the total 10 times' activities over 5 weeks. Using TTCT shape test, the pre and the post test were operated and results of them analyzed by analysis of covariance. From the analysis of the results, there were more meaningful score changes in the total creativity examination score and in the fluency, originality, and elaboration out of the 4 sub-factors of creativeness in the test groups than in the controlled groups while there was a non-meaningful score change in flexibility. The music activity programs planned on this study were theoretically based on the creativity theory, and were composed by 3 stages with deepening processes. To make the environment to maximize the effect of the activities, small group activities were presented. In addition, it was reassured that musical activities can improve general creativity-especially perceptional factor in it as well as musical creativity. Therefore, the significance of this study lies on composing activities in consideration of the creativity theory and the roles of music in many directions, and on the trials to provide the maximum environment for creativity expressions. And it can be said that music activities designed in this study have also affected positively on general creativity improvement.
