부모가 본 영유아 혼자놀이의 현황 및 인식

Abstract

본 연구는 만 0-5세 영유아의 가정에서의 혼자놀이 및 부모의 혼자놀이에 대한 전반적인 인식에 대해 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 1. 부모가 본 자녀의 혼자놀이 현황은 어떠한가? 2. 부모가 자녀의 혼자놀이에 대해 갖고 있는 인식은 어떠한가? 3. 부모가 자녀의 기관에서의 혼자놀이에 대해 갖고 있는 인식은 어떠한가? 연구대상은 만 0-5세 영유아 자녀를 둔 부모 295명이었다. 본 연구에서는 부모의 혼자놀이에 대한 인식을 알아보기 위하여 연구자가 선행연구 및 개방형 설문지를 통해 조사한 내용을 토대로 제작한 온라인 설문지를 사용하였다. 자료분석을 위해 빈도분석 분석을 하였고, 평균 및 표준편차를 산출하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 만 0-5세 영유아의 부모가 자녀의 혼자놀이를 주로 관찰하게 되는 장소는 가정이었다. 영유아가 혼자놀이에서 주로 하는 놀이는 블록놀이, 조형놀이, 역할극놀이 순으로 나타났다. 가정에서 혼자놀이를 하는 빈도에 대해 부모는 때때로 집에서 혼자놀이를 한다고 응답하였다. 둘째, 부모는 자녀가 가정에서 혼자놀이를 하게 되는 이유는 부모의 영향이 가장 크다고 인식하고 있었다. 부모의 영향이란 구체적으로 부모가 자녀와 충분히 놀아줄 시간이 부족하여 혼자 놀게 된다는 것을 의미한다. 가정에서 자녀가 혼자 놀이하는 것에 대해 혼자놀이하는 시간도 필요하다고 응답하는 부모가 그렇지 않은 부모보다 많았으며 이유로는 혼자 놀이하면서 유아가 주체적으로 놀이할 수 있음이 가장 높은 응답을 보였다. 또한 혼자놀이는 자체로서 영유아의 발달에 교육적 가치가 있다고 응답한 부모가 그렇지 않은 부모보다 많았다. 이유로는 자유롭게 놀이를 시도할 수 있기 때문이라고 응답한 부모가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 자녀의 혼자놀이를 보며 부모는 대견스러움, 고마움 순으로 정서를 느꼈다. 자녀가 가정에서 혼자놀이 할 때 부모의 이상적인 역할에 대해 함께 놀이해주는 것이라고 응답한 부모가 가장 많았으나 실재 현황은 자녀가 혼자서 노는 것을 지켜보기만 한다고 응답한 부모가 높은 응답을 나타내어 차이를 나타내었다. 셋째, 기관에서 자녀가 지속적으로 혼자놀이를 하는 것에 대해 부모는 걱정이 된다고 응답하였다. 가정에서 혼자놀이를 하는 것에는 걱정이 되지 않는다는 부모가 걱정이 된다는 부모보다 많았으며 기관과 가정에서의 혼자놀이에 대해 부모가 상이하게 인식함을 나타내었다. 기관에서의 혼자놀이에 대해 부모는 교사의 도움이나 가정의 지원이 필요하다고 인식하고 있었으며 또래관계를 통한 개입이 적절하다고 가장 높은 비율로 응답하였다.;The purpose of the study is to investigate the overall perception and attitude of parents with infants and toddlers to solitary-play. In order to accomplish this purpose, the following three questions were set up. 1. What is the status of children's playing alone that parents saw? 2. What is the perception that parents have about their children's playing alone? 3. What is the perception that parents have about playing alone in their children's institutions? Subjects for this study are 295 parents of child aged 0-5 years old. In order to investigate parents' perception of solitary-play, an online questionnaire produced based on previous studies open questionnaires was used. For data analysis, average, standard deviation, frequency analysis and case analysis were utilized for the research questions. The results of this study are as follows. First, the place where parents mainly observe their children's solitary-play was at home. The type of play that child usually play alone were block play, constructive play, and dramatic play. The frequency of playing alone at home is that they sometimes play alone at home. Second, parents recognized that the reason why their children play alone at home was most influenced by their parents. Parents' influence means that parents do not have enough time to play with their children, so their children play alone. Many parents said their children need time to solitary-play at home because their child could play independently for solitary-play. In addition, most of parents responded that solitary-play has educational value in the development of children, because children can freely try to play for solitary-play. Watching their children’ solitary-play, parents feel pride and gratitude. The most of parents answered that the ideal role when their children play alone at home is playing with their children, not just observing them. But the actual role showed most of parents just observe their children’s solitary-play. Third, parents responded that they are worried about their children playing alone at the kindergarten or pre-school. while parents are not worried about playing alone at home. It is to indicate that parents perceived playing alone at home and institution differently. Regarding playing alone in institutions, parents perceived the need for help from teachers or family support, and responded at the highest rate that intervention through peer relations.
