Abstract

Purpose: In most English kindergartens, teachers speak Korean for lessons relating to school rules and safety measures. This textbook builds on the knowledge that target YLs have in the L1 and replicates a lot of the core content through authentic reading and listening texts as well as engaging and interactive activities to accompany them. The ultimate goal is to have students remain safe in various scenarios in kindergarten in both the L1 and L2.
