초급 피아노 앙상블의 교육적 효과에 따른 레퍼토리 분석

Abstract

In the 21st century, students need various teaching methods to obtain a huge amount of knowledge and information effectively. With this current trend, the demand for piano ensemble in which a teacher can not only teach two or more students at a time but also maximize educational effect and the students' interest has been increasing, which leads to an active study of teaching materials and their publication. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to research, compare and analyze the ensemble teaching materials published in Korea and help improve the leaners' musical skills by showing the effectiveness of piano ensemble. Also this study is to enable practical use of ensemble for elementary level leaners through studying the ensemble repertoires of elementary level according to the following each of educational effects : The method of this study is as follows : after a literature review on the concept, types and effect of ensemble lesson, among the 21 volumes of published ensemble teaching materials, 17 materials were researched. Those are from level 1 to level 4 according to Jane Magrath's leveling, and they are categorized by the organization, level of difficulty, genre, key, tempo, and the number of repertoires and compared and analyzed. Also the characteristics of each teaching material are described. In terms of educational effect of ensemble, the repertoires are divided according to the 5 criteria : various rhythm and a sense of tempo, reacting to rapid change, full harmonic, teamwork with partner, and subject exchange. Among them, ensemble repertoires for elementary level leaners were chosen and their characteristics were described. As a result of researching 17 volumes of ensemble teaching materials for elementary level learners, it is found out that there are some pieces able to enhance the various rhythm and tempo such as dotted rhythm, syncopation, triplet rhythm. Besides the enhancement of rhythm, there are also other pieces that can increase the learners' quickness with sudden change of both hands or change of techniques like staccato and grace notes. Still others are found to enable various harmonic experience and better performance effectiveness. In addition, there are the pieces in which students need teamwork with their partner because it contains various tempo such as pick-up measure and counting tempo. Also there are other piece from which they can learn the balance of subject and accompaniment by exchanging the subject melody each other. Other than these educational effects, piano ensemble can solicit interest on learning piano from the young learns through musical piece that have familiar melodies. Also it is advantageous that one piece can be played by two people so that elementary level learners can have an opportunity for trying a difficult repertoire. Therefore, based on this study, it is expected that more researches are devoted to ensemble lesson, more ensemble teaching materials for elementary level learners are published, various teaching methods are studied, and there will be active piano ensemble lessons for elementary level leaners.;21세기 넘쳐나는 지식과 정보를 효율적으로 습득하기 위하여 피아노교육에서도 학생의 흥미뿐만 아니라 교육적 효과까지 극대화 시킬 수 있고 두 명 이상의 학생을 동시에 지도할 수 있는 피아노 앙상블에 대한 수요가 높아지고 있으며, 이에 따른 피아노 앙상블 교재 연구와 출판이 활발해지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 현재 국내에 출판되고 있는 앙상블 교재를 조사하고 비교 및 분석 한 후 더 나아가 피아노 앙상블 활동을 통해 얻을 수 있는 교육적 효과를 제시하여 학생들의 음악적 능력을 향상시키는데 목적이 있다. 또한 각각의 교육적 효과에 맞는 초급 앙상블 레퍼토리 연구를 통하여 초급 학생들을 대상으로 하는 앙상블 활동의 실질적 활성화를 목적으로 한다. 연구 방법으로는 먼저 피아노 앙상블의 개념과 종류 및 효과에 대하여 문헌연구를 한 후 현재 앙상블 이름하에 국내에 출판되고 있는 피아노 앙상블 교재 21권 중 제인 머그러(Jane Magrath)의 레벨링에 따라 1단계에서 4단계에 해당하는 초급단계의 앙상블 교재 17권을 조사하여 각 교재의 구성, 연주자의 난이도, 장르, 조성, 박자, 곡의 수로 분류하여 각각의 교재를 비교, 분석하고 그 특징에 대하여 서술하였다. 그리고 앙상블의 교육적 효과에 대해서는 다양한 리듬 및 박자, 순발력, 풍부한 화성, 파트너와의 연주 호흡, 교대로 연주되는 주제와 같이 5가지 주제를 기준으로 곡을 나누고 그에 맞는 초급 앙상블 레퍼토리를 선별하였으며, 각 곡에 대한 특징을 서술하였다. 17권의 초급 앙상블 교재를 연구한 결과 부점리듬, 당김음, 셋잇단리듬 등 다양한 리듬과 다양한 박자를 강화 할 수 있는 곡이 다수 포함되어 있는 것을 볼 수 있었으며, 양손의 위치가 갑자기 바뀌거나 스타카토, 꾸밈음 등 갑작스러운 테크닉의 변화에 따라 학생들의 순발력을 기를 수 있는 곡과 화려한 반주를 통해 풍부한 화성을 경험하게 되고 좋은 연주효과를 낼 수 있는 곡도 다수 포함되어 있었다. 또한 못갖춘마디로 곡이 시작되거나 다른 연주자와 연주 시작시점이 달라 박자를 세고 연주를 시작해야하기 때문에 파트너와의 연주 호흡을 필요로 하는 곡들과 주제 멜로디를 서로 주고받으며 주제와 반주의 균형을 배울 수 있는 곡들도 있었다. 이러한 교육적 효과이외에도 피아노 앙상블은 초급 학생들에게 친숙한 멜로디를 가진 제재곡을 통해 피아노 학습에 대한 흥미를 끌어낼 수 있으며, 초급학생들이 연주하기 어려운 곡도 두 사람이 나누어 연주하기 때문에 좀 더 쉽게 접근이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구를 바탕으로 앙상블 활동에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어져 앞으로 초급학생들을 위한 앙상블 교재가 더욱 많이 출판되고 다양한 교수방안이 연구되어 실제 초급 피아노 수업에서 앙상블 활동이 활성화되기를 기대한다.
