칼 라이네케(Carl Reinecke)의 교육용 소나티나 작품 분석과 교수법적 제안

Abstract

소나티나는 시대에 따라 여러 형태로 변화하고 발전하여 그 시대 음악의 특징과 작곡가의 개성을 파악할 수 있는 중요한 장르이다. 그러나 고전시대에 비해 낭만시대에는 소나티나가 많이 작곡되지 않았으며, 현재 연주되고 있는 곡도 한정적이다. 하지만 낭만시대의 일부 작곡가들은 소나티나를 작곡하기도 하였으며 형식은 고전시대보다 대체적으로 자유로워졌고, 화성과 선율의 사용 또한 풍부해졌다. 이러한 낭만시대 소나티나 학습을 통해 작품을 이해하고 해석함에 있어서 중요한 요소들과, 이를 전개하는데 필요한 테크닉 또한 배울 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 낭만시대 소나티나 레퍼토리를 늘리기 위하여 국내에 잘 알려지지 않은 칼 라이네케(Carl Reinecke, 1824-1910)의 교육용 소나티나 「3개의 소나티나(Three Sonatinas, Op. 47)」, 「3개의 소나티나(Three Sonatinas, Op. 98)」, 「6개의 작은 소나티나(Six Miniature Sonatinas, Op. 136)」에 대해 연구하였으며 작품을 분석하고 이에 대한 교육적 특징을 교수법적으로 제안하였다. 칼 라이네케는 피아니스트이자 작곡가로써 여러 장르에 걸쳐 많은 작품을 남긴 동시에 교육자로써 학생들을 가르치는 것에도 힘썼다. 그의 피아노 연습곡, 소나타와 소나티나는 피아노 교본으로 사용될 정도로 당시 그 가치를 인정받았으나 오늘날 연주되고 있는 피아노 작품은 대단히 제한적이라고 볼 수 있다. 그의 교육용 작품 중 본 논문에서 연구한 소나티나는 상대적으로 어렵지 않은 테크닉으로 이루어진 소규모 작품으로써 난이도는 각각 중급·초기 고급에 해당하며 중급 학습자를 위한 낭만시대 소나티나 레퍼토리로 교육적 가치가 높다. 본 논문을 통하여 낭만시대 소나티나를 배우는 중급 학습자들의 레퍼토리가 확장되고, 이 작품을 가르치는 교사들이 곡을 효과적으로 지도하는 데 도움이 되기를 바란다. 또한 칼 라이네케의 교육용 피아노 작품과 낭만시대 소나티나에 대한 연구와 연주가 활발히 진행되기를 기대한다.;Sonatina is a crucial musical genre which represents musical aspects of certain periods and each composer’s character. This is attributed to the fact that sonatina has developed and changed to various forms according to periods. In the Romantic period, however, sonatina was less composed compared to the Classical period and current repertoire of romantic sonatina is limited. Nevertheless, some composers of the Romantic period used to compose sonatinas and their forms became freer in principle and harmonies and melodies were more plentiful compared to the classical sonatinas. In order to expand repertoire, this thesis studies, analyzes, and proposes pedagogical aspects of Carl Reinecke’s educational sonatinas unfamiliar to Korea: Three Sonatinas Op. 47, Three Sonatinas Op. 98, and Six Miniature Sonatinas, Op. 136. Reinecke left many musical works across various genre as a pianist and composer and at the same time, he made an effort to teach pupils as an educator. His piano etudes, sonatas, and sonatinas were used as piano texts at the time but his piano works are very limited nowadays. Among his educational works, the sonatinas studied in this thesis are small-scale works employing relatively easy techniques. The difficulty corresponds to intermediate and advanced levels and as romantic sonatinas, they have high educational values for students. I hope this thesis contributes to expand the repertoire of intermediate learners studying romantic sonatinas and help teachers teach these works effectively. Moreover, I hope this thesis motivates the studies and performances of Reinecke’s educational piano works and romantic sonatinas.
