A two-photon absorption polymerization process is employed to fabricate 3D nano-structures. Resins transparent at 800 nm but highly absorbing at 400 nm undergo a two-photon absorption and polymerization upon irradiation with fundamental light from a Ti:Sapphire femtosecond laser; By use of the reflection imaging technique to identify the position of the focal point, a series of slanted nano-structures and a 3D layered-structure are successfully fabricated.
