비폭력대화를 활용한 청소년 SNS윤리와 도덕과수업연구

Abstract

I have thought it problematic that 'information and cyber ethics part' of Morality subject does not cope with the reality of rapidly changing Internet environment, and that, even if SNS (Social Network Service), which has appeared as a new communication channel in the globalization era, has generated huge impact on society and culture, there have not been any regulation and ethics on it, and that adolescents accept it indiscreetly. Thus, in this study, I intend to point out some problems of the contents of Morality subject by analyzing its current curriculum, establish SNS ethics by analyzing adolescent problems in SNS, and propose a teaching model for Morality subject. SNS space is cyber space, but the reason why SNS space should be treated differently from other cyber spaces lies in the fact that it is different from spaces where existing PC communications have used. The characteristics of SNS space are the followings: with the distribution of smart phone, communication is no longer limited by time and place, and new information spread more rapidly and widely than in PC.; networks of users are more closely knitted. In particular, with closer cohesion among users than before, the distance among users gas become shorter.* But, shorter distance among users force users to be overly conscious of eyes of other users, making them less honest in expressing opinions in the cyber space. Even if SNS is my space, it is the place where the border between I and other users is blurred, and one cannot act without being conscious of others. Thus, in SNS space, though I is I, a different I who is adjusted to others is formed. Such a phenomenon makes adolescents feel confused of their self-identities. Thus, it is important to examine problems of adolescents by analyzing the characteristics of SNS space. Thus, this study suggests that SNS will be included in the existing 'information and cyber ethics unit' of Morality or Ethics subject to deal with seriousness of various adolescent problems which take place in SNS, and it also suggests concrete ways to deal with them. The alternative suggested in this study is dialogue called 'nonviolent communication, NVC' developed by Marshall Rosenberg (1934). NVC, which is a way of communication in which one can express one's opinion frankly without blaming or criticizing others, is used as alternative aiming to form sympathetic and qualitative human relations, and, it is used to reconcile conflicts with language used in daily life. SNS is dialogue whose communication method is restricted as letters and language, there is limit in expressing one's desire. The causes of various problems in SNS such as irritating and violent terms hurting others, and blocking normal communication lie in the lack of face-to-face meeting. To solve this problem, I suggest dialogue structure and frame in SNS, and also propose that, if we change the method of dialogue to nonviolent dialogue, we can expect the recovery of human nature like sympathy and compassion. Such an improvement of dialogue will recover human relationship, and gives us a chance to reflect on our way of expression. Therefore, I propose the activities improving dialogue habits of adolescents by establishing concrete SNS ethics using NVC as a model of teaching in Morality subject. Clearly, SNS is space where various users who want to express various desires gather together, and, at the same time, users can grow together. It is space of unlimited possibility where one can grow while communicating with others. It means that SNS can affect adolescents with various dreams positively. Therefore, to understand SNS space and establish proper ethics suitable to the space will help adolescents to cultivate correct ethics and advance themselves.;논자는 그동안의 도덕과의 정보 및 사이버윤리가 빠르게 변화하는 인터넷 실태와 실생활에서의 접목이 미약한 점, 또 최근 글로벌 시대 새로운 소통의 장으로써 등장한 SNS(Social Network Service)가 사회와 문화에 큰 영향과 문제들을 유발하고 있음에도 불구하고 아무런 제약이나 윤리가 없는 점, 그리고 이 모든 것들을 청소년들이 아무런 의식 없이 무분별하게 받아들인다는 점에 문제의식을 느끼었다. 이에 현행 교과를 분석하여 한계점을 지적하고 SNS공간의 특성과 SNS 속 청소년 문제점을 분석한 후 SNS윤리를 구성하여 도덕과 수업 모형을 제시하고자 한다. SNS공간은 사이버공간임에도 기존의 사이버공간과는 다른 범주로 취급해야 하는 이유는 SNS공간이 기존 PC통신을 사용하던 공간과는 다른 차이가 있기 때문이다. 그 특징은 스마트 폰의 보급으로 더 이상 시, 공의 제약을 받지 않게 되면서 새로운 정보가 기존의 PC통신보다 더 빠르고 광범위하게 확산 되는 것, 그리고 이를 사용하는 유저들의 연결망이 보다 응집력 있다는 점이 그러하다. 특히 유저들 간 끈끈한 응집력으로 예전보다 유저들 간의 거리*가 가까워진 것을 사실이나 그 거리의 좁힘이 타인의 시선을 지나치게 의식하게 되고 점차 꾸며진 자아로 변모하는 상황을 만들기도 한다. SNS는 나의 공간이지만 타인을 의식하지 않고는 활동할 수 없는 경계가 모호 곳이기 때문에 SNS 속 자아도 ‘나’이면서 타인에게 맞춰진 자아가 형성된다. 이러한 현상은 자라나는 청소년들의 자아정체성에 혼란을 주기 때문에 SNS공간의 특징을 분석함으로써 현재 청소년 문제를 파악해 나가는 과정은 중요하다. 또한 SNS세대라는 말이 무색하지 않은 청소년들은 앞으로 SNS문화를 주도 해나갈 세대로서 SNS공간에서도 매너 있는 행동과 소통중심의 통신문화를 지향해 나가야 할 주역이다. 이는 SNS시대에 발맞춰 청소년의 SNS사용에 대한 새로운 윤리가 필요함을 강조되어야 하는 이유다. 때문에 SNS를 대하는 청소년들의 자세와 문제점에 대해서 심각하게 고민할 의무를 가져야할 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 기존 도덕·윤리과의 정보 및 사이버윤리 단원에서 SNS의 내용을 추가하여 SNS 내 벌어지는 여러 가지 청소년 문제에 심각성과 SNS윤리의 필요성을 제기하고 구체적인 실천방안을 제시한다. 제시하는 대안은 마셜 B. 로젠버그(Marshall Rosenberg 1934)에 의해 창시된 ‘비폭력 대화(Nonviolent Communication)’ 또는 NVC라 불리는 대화이다. 상대를 비난하거나 비판하지 않으면서 자신의 마음을 솔직하게 표현할 수 있는 대화의 방법인 NVC는 서로 공감하면서 질적인 인간관계를 형성하는 것을 목적으로 하는 일상의 언어로 많은 갈등 상황을 조정해주는 대안으로 사용되고 있다. SNS는 기본적인 소통방식이 문자, 언어로만 제한 된 대화이기 때문에 자신의 욕구를 표현하는 데 있어서 한계가 있다. 소통을 방해하는 자극적이고 폭력적인 언행으로 타인을 상처 입히는 SNS 속 다양한 문제들의 원인은 면 대 면(face to face)부재에 있다. 이에 대해 논자는 SNS에 대화의 구조와 틀을 제시하고 그 대화의 방법을 비폭력 대화로 개선시킨다면 공감과 연민과 같은 인간 내면의 인간성 회복을 기대하고 그러한 방안으로 비폭력대화를 활용하고자 한다. 이러한 대화의 개선은 기존의 인간관계를 회복하고 나의 말하기 방식에 반성의 계기를 마련해 줄 수 있을 것이다. 때문에 비폭력 대화의 방식을 활용한 구체적인 SNS윤리를 정립하여 청소년의 대화습관을 개선시키는 활동을 도덕과 수업 모형으로 제시한다. 분명 SNS는 다양한 욕구를 표현하고 싶은 자아들의 모임이면서 그 속에서 자아들이 함께 성장해 나갈 수 있는 공간이다. 타인과 교류하면서 성숙할 수 있는 무한한 가능성이 있는 곳이다. 이는 꿈 많은 청소년에게 좋은 영향을 줄 수 있다는 의미이다. 때문에 SNS공간을 파악하고 그에 맞는 윤리를 정립하는 일은 청소년에게 올바른 윤리의식을 함양하고 SNS와 청소년의 자아 발전에 기여하는 좋은 기회가 될 것이다.
