일반계 고등학교 학생들의 교사에 관한 인식

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to consider the college preparatory high school students' perceptions about their teachers. There are many kinds of perspectives on organization research. People have become concerned about the perspective that organization is not an objective reality, but the gathering and sharing of values and common beliefs through reciprocal action of organization members. This study considers the college preparatory high school students ' perceptions about their teachers standing the cultural perspective. Chapter Ⅱ explains the notion and the elements of school organizational culture and what the cultural perspective is. In this chapter preceding researches on a view of teaching profession are considered. This study tries to find essential cultural elements of values, beliefs, and meanings by finding expressive cultural elements of stories that contain lively descriptions and evaluations of the organization members. Chapter Ⅲ explains the method of research of this thesis. Through interviews with college preparatory high school second-grade students, data about teachers were collected and analyzed. Chapter Ⅳ searches the kinds of stories and the result. Students conversed about their teacher's teaching style, personality, attitude, punishment, appearance, favoritism, discrimination and privacy. The findings are : 1. Students perceive a decline of instruction and teachers' qualifications. 2. Students perceive a decline of the teachers' personality. 3. Students pay no respect to their teachers. Chapter Ⅴ summarizes the results of these data, studies problems of students ' perceptions with educational effects and suggests solutions. By presenting a real perceptions of the students', this study will be useful in understanding a college preparatory high school organizational culture and school climate.;본 연구의 목적은 일반계 고등학교 학생들의 교사에 관한 인식이 어떠한지를 살펴보는 데에 있다. 조직에 관한 연구는 다양한 접근 방법과 패러다임으로 수행되어 왔는데 조직을 객관적인 실체로서가 아니라 조직 구성원들이 상호작용을 통하여 가치, 신념, 의미를 공유함으로써 형성하늘 의미의 체계로 인식하고 의미들의 주관적인 해석을 통해서 조직 문화를 이해하고자 하는 접근 방법이 점차 확산되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 이러한 문화적 접근 방법을 기반으로 일반계 고등학교 학생들의 교사에 관한 인식을 살펴 보았다. Ⅱ장에서는 이론적으로 학교 조직 문화의 개념과 요소를 살펴보고 학교 조직 문화 연구를 위한 문화적 접근이 어떤 특징을 지니는지 살펴보았다. 또한 학교 조직 문화의 변인인 학교 조직 풍토에 영향을 미치는 교사관이 교사와 학생의 상호작용 속에서 어떻게 논의되는지 선행 연구를 통해 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 조직 구성원들의 생생한 서술과 평가를 담은 이야기라는 표현 요소를 통해 일반계 고등학교 학생들이 학교 및 교사에 대해 추구하고 있는 가치, 신념, 공유하고 있는 의미, 인식 등의 핵심적 문화 요소를 발견하고자 하였다. Ⅲ장은 본 연구의 연구 방법에 대하여 기술하고 있다. 일반계 고등학교 2학년 학생을 대상으로 면접법을 통하여 학생들의 교사에 관한 이야기를 수집하고 이야기의 종류, 대상별 차이를 분석하였다. Ⅳ장은 연구 결과로 학생들의 이야기의 종류와 내용을 분석함으로써 파악한 일반계 고등학교 학생들의 교사에 대한 인식을 서술하였다. 학생들의 교사에 관한 이야기는 수업 방식, 성격 및 태도, 체벌, 외모, 편애 및 차별대우, 사생활에 관한 이야기 등이었다. 이러한 이야기에서 나타난 일반계 고등학교 학생들의 교사에 대한 인식은 다음과 같다. 첫째는 수업과 관련한 교사의 질적 수준을 낮게 인식하고 있다는 것이며 둘째는 성격이나 교사의 행동에서 교사로서의 태도와 인격에 대한 수준도 낮게 평가하고 있다는 것이다. 세째는 교사에 대한 존중 의식이 매우 약하다는 것이다. Ⅴ장은 연구 결과를 요약하고 학생들의 인식을 교육의 효과와 관련시켜 논의하면서 이를 해결하기 위한 제안을 모색해 보았다. 본 연구는 교사와 학생의 상호작용의 근본이 되는 인식을 파악함으로써 일반계 고등학교 조직 풍토와 조직 문화의 일면을 이해하는 데에 도움을 줄 것이다.
