종교 유무 (기독교)가 부부간의 갈등해소 및 의사소통에 미치는 영향에 관한 비교 연구

Abstract

The most important factor for a happy marriage is communication between husband and wife. And efficient communication and settlement of conflict between them is the key to harmonious correlationship in the home and to a strong marriage. The Bible specifically imposes on a husband the role of head of the household. However, as the intense atmosphere today pressures equality of man and woman, the responsibilities and the duties of man are more ignored and more neglected than any era in human history before by society, so that it is most difficult for a man to lead a life style the Bible defines it. Considering the above, this study is designed to explore the factors with which Christianity affects intercommunication and the settlement of conflict through a survey comparing christian husbands and non-Christian husbands and their understandings of intercommunication and the measure of settlement of conflict between husbands and wives. Data were extracted from PRSCA (Personal Report of Spouse Communication Apprehension) whose author is Power and Hutchson and CTS (Conflict Tactics Scale) of Straus. And a questionnaire made to 50 Christian husbands and 50 Non-Christian husbands with the theoretical base of Biblical marriage and the Biblical role of the husband supposing that Christianity affects the communication and the settlement of conflict. For statistical analysis, t-test and CR-test were applied. The results of the study were as follows; 1. In the home environment factors such as age, academic back ground, and the length of the marriage: Christian husbands earned higher scores in every factor regarding the understanding of intercommunication than Non-Christian husbands and showed meaningful difference in scores. 2. Regarding subordinate factors for communication (context·attitude and personality) and subordinate factors for CTS (reasoning and verbal aggression·violence): Christian husbands also marked higher scores and showed meaningful difference in scores. As the above results showed, it was proved that Christianity helped husbands a great deal to communicate with their wives and to settle the conflicts between them. Consequently, the church should not only devote itself to evangelization and mission but also put efforts on establishing marital schools and hold open seminars periodically for married couples and make a biblical home through pre-marital counselling. Desirable counselling for married couples should also be a matter of great concern and professional counsellers should always be available in consultation office whenever they are wanted for counselling to carry out the job successfully.; 행복한 가정생활을 위해서는 부부간의 의사소통이 무엇보다도 중요하며, 바람직한 의사소통과 갈등해소는 원활한 가족 상호작용의 열쇠이자 결혼생활의 활력소이다. 남녀평등을 강력하게 주장하고 있는 오늘날, 과거에 비해 남편의 책임과 의무는 더욱 무시되고 소홀해지고 있으며, 성경적인 남편상에 따라 산다는 것이 힘들게 되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기독교인 남편과 무종교인 남편을 대상으로 하여 의사소통 이해도와 갈등해소방안 척도를 측정 비교 연구함으로써 기독신앙이 의사소통과 갈등해소에 어떠한 영향을 주는가 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 성경적 결혼과 남편의 역할을 이론적 배경으로 하였고, 기독신앙이 의사소통과 갈등해소에 영향을 줄 것이라는 가정하에 기독교인 남편 50명과 무종교인 남편 50명에게 Power와 Hutchson의 PRSCA (Personal Report of Spouse Communication Apprehension)와 Straus의 CTS (Conflict Tactics Scale)를 실시하였다. 통계처리는 기독교인과 무종교인의 의사소통 이해도 점수와 갈등해소방안 척도 점수의 차이를 구하고 유의도 검증 (t검증, CR검증)을 하였다. 이상의 연구절차에 따라 얻은 연구 결과는 다음과 같다.

1. 가정환경 요인(연령, 학력, 결혼기간등)에 따른 의사소통 이해도 점수에 있어서 기독교인이 무종교인의 남편보다 모든 요인에 있어 높은 점수를 나타냈고, 유의한 차이를 나타냈다.

2. 의사소통 이해도의 하위변인(상황·태도와 성격)과 갈등해소방안 척도 하위변인(의논·대화와 말다툼·폭력)의 점수에 있어서도, 기독교인이 무종교인 남편보다 높은 점수를 나타냈고, 유의한 차이를 나타냈다.

위의 연구결과와 같이 기독교인이 의사소통과 갈등해소를 합리적으로 해결하고 있는데, 이는 기독교 신앙이 도움이 되고 있음을 나타냈다. 아울러, 교회는 전도와 설교에 더 힘을 기울일 뿐만 아니라, 부부학교를 설치하고, 부부세미나를 정기적으로 개최하며, 전문상담인을 두어 혼전 상담과 부부상담등을 통해, 성경적인 가정을 세우는데 지대한 관심을 가지고 노력해야 할 것이다.
