서울시내 공립국민학교 클럽활동 인식 및 운영에 관한 조사연구

Abstract

본 연구는 국민학교의 교육과정에서 중요한 위치에 있는 클럽 활동 운영실태를 살피고 그 개선의 방향을 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 이 목적을 수행하기 위하여 서울시내 공립국민학교 교사 420명과 아동 735명을 대상으로 설문조사하였다. 본 연구에서 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 클럽 활동은 아동의 個性形成, 趣味活動, 心理的, 葛藤解消, 餘暇善用에 도움을 준다고 교사와 아동은 긍정적인 반응을 보이고 있다. 둘째, 클럽 활동에 대한 관심은 아동, 학교 경영자, 교사 모두 높게 나타났으나, 교사가 관심을 갖고 있는 것과는 대조적으로 클럽 활동의 지도목표와 유의점에 대해서는 잘 모르고 있었음이 나타났다. 셋째, 클럽 활동의 年間活動計劃은 교사가 一方的으로 계획하는 경향이었다. 네째, 클럽 활동의 결과를 발표하는 기회는 거의 갖지 않는 경우가 대부분으로 나타났으며, 실시한다해도 일년에 1∼2번에 그치고 있다. 다섯째, 클럽 활동 시간은 일과표대로 잘 지켜지고 있으나 1시간수업으로는 부족하다는 반응을 아동들은 보였다. 여섯째, 클럽 활동을 위한 特別部署室이 많이 부족하고, 시설과 기재도 부족하며 클럽 활동부서의 인원수가 많다는 것 등이 애로사항으로 나타나고 있다. 일곱째, 현재 클럽 활동의 지도영역은 藝·體能 영역이 가장 많이 차지하고 있고 生産 勤勞 領域은 극히 적은 경향을 보이고 있다. 여덟째, 클럽 활동 지도교사는 거의 敎內敎師로 한정되어 있고 클럽 활동 지도시 아동 발달 상황 고려는 별로 하지 않음이 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과를 종합하여 다음과 같은 提言을 하고자 한다. 첫째, 클럽 활동 계획은 교사와 아동의 共同參與로 활동의욕을 고취시키고 지도교사도 適性과 趣味에 맞게 배치해야 할 것이다. 둘째, 지도교사는 클럽 활동의 목표 및 유의점에 대하여 잘 알고 있어야 하며 한 부서를 잘 지도하기 위한 기능의 향상도 필요하다. 技能向上을 위해서는 自己 硏修 외에도 學校單位 硏修, 地區別 硏修, 指導敎師 資格制로 강화하는 방법이 바람직하다. 세째, 클럽 활동의 활성화를 위해서는 기본적인 시설이나 여건 조성이 필요하며 특히 생산 근로 영역에서 활동할 수 있는 特別部署室이나 植物裁培園, 動物飼育園 등을 설치하여야 할 것이다. 넷째, 클럽 활동의 결과는 정기적으로 전시 또는 발표하는 기회를 가짐으로서 활동 의욕을 고취시키고 自已表現, 自已實現의 욕구를 충족시키며, 평가는 클럽지도교사가 과정을 중시해서 하는 것이 바람직하다. 다섯째, 학교는 地域社會와의 紐帶를 强化함이 바람직하다. 이리하여, 지역사회 인사를 클럽 활동 지도교사로 모실 수도 있고, 見學이나 參觀이 필요할 때 지역사회 기관과 협조하여 실시할 수 있으며 또 지역 사회의 요청이 있을때는 아동들이 泰仕活動을 함으로써 共同體 意識敎育에도 보탬이 될 것이기 때문이다.;The purpose of this study was to observe the management of club activities in the elementary school. For the purpose of the study, questionnaires were given to 420 ,teachers and 735 children in the public elementary schools in Seoul. The results of this study were as follows : 1. Both the teachers and children gave affirmative reaction to club activity as helpful to the children in the forma- tion of individuality, in the development of their taste, in the solution of psychological struggle and in the im- provement of spare moments. 2. Children, teachers and school administrators showed much interest in the club activities, but teachers were not aware of the aim, and didn't concern for the detailed items a matter that demanded special attention. 3. The annual plan about these activities was generally made by teachers anone. 4. The opportunity to display the results of the club acti-vities was rarely given and if so, only once or twice a year at most. 5. Though the club activities were carried out according to schedule, the children complained that one hour wasn't enough. 6. There were not enough special rooms for club activities or equipment and facilities. Besides that the problem of the number of children in each activity was indicated. 7. Most of club activities were concerned with art or sports and very few of them were productive in a labor area. 8. The instructors of club activities were limitd mostly to the teachers of the same schools and had no reagrd for the state of children's development in their guidance of club activities. With these results, these suggestions can be made. 1. The club activities should be planned jointly by teachers and children to inspire the disire to participate in the activities and the instructors disposed properly taking their taste and aptitude into consideration. 2. The instructor should be aware of the intention and the importance of club ctivities and the skill for better guidance of its group is needed. The method of the improvement of skill can be numerous in the form of self training, the training in a nuit of school or the system of disposing the instructors with certification of qualification. 3. To activate club activities the security of basic facilities and equipment is needed and special room for breeding animals and cultivation for the activities of productive labor. 4. The results of club activities should be announced regulary to inspire the desire of action and the satisfy the desire of self-expression and self-accomplishment. In judging the accomplishments, instructors should attach importance to the process not only the result. 5. The increased co-operation with the local community would be helpful in inviting citizens to become instructors for club activities, to make inspection visits to the local organization and in turn children's service can be given to society when it is called which can be beificial to learning of community conciousness.
