고등학교 교육목표에 대한 요구사정

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate the educational needs in the context of the objectives of the Public School Curriculum. It measured the perceived importance of the educational objectives and their emphasis in actual practice by the participants: teachers, students, parents. The problems in the study were as follows: 1. Degree of importance of the educational objectives perceived by the participants. 2. Educational objectives emphasized in actual practice perceived by the three groups respectively. 3. Comparing the degree of importance and emphasis respectively among the groups. 4. Analyzing differences between the perceived importance of the objectives and their emphasis in practice. Opinions of 108 teachers, 123 students and 106 parents of 5 high school in Seoul were surveyed through questionnaires. Selection was made through purposive sampling techniques. Major findings of this study were as follows: 1. The order of priority on perceived importance of educational objectives was sense of responsibility, justice, honesty, consciousness of public order and respect for human being. On the other hand, the order of priority on perceived importance of objectives rated low was fundamental learning ability, capacity for scientific inquiry, esthetic attitude good aptitude and tough spirit. 2. The order of priority on educational objectives emphasized in practice was consistent national consciousness, fundamental 1earning ability, consciousness of public order, basic knowledge and ski11 and sense of responsibility, However, good aptitude, capacity for scientific inquiry, good emotional life, capacity for career development and esthetic attitude were neglected objectives in practice. Among the groups, parents showed the most positive response when asked if the objectives were practiced. On the other hand, teachers did not fee1 that Perceived educational objectives were well reflected in the practice. 3. With the results of statistical analysis stated above, it was found that there was a gap between the expected educational objectives and their emphasis in reality. The gap ranged from 1.89 to 0.47. The order of the largest gap size between expected and reflected objectives was as follows: good aptitude, good emotional life, capacity for career development, respect for human being and health. 4. There were no significant differences in perceived importance of educational objectives among the groups. There were significant differences, however, in the emphasis of educational objectives in all the areas except for mental capacity and technical ability.;본 연구는 현행 고등학교 교육과정에 제시되어 있는 교육목표를 분석하여 교육적 요구를 밝히려는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 위하여 설정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 교육목표의 중요도에 대한 지각경향 2. 교육목표의 실현도에 대한 지각경향 3. 교육목표의 중요도와 실현도간의 차이 분석 4. 교육목표의 중요도와 실현도에 대한 집단간 비교 본 연구는 조사연구로서, 연구대상은 서울시내 5개 고등학교에서 표집한 교사 108명, 학생 123명, 학부모 106명이었다. 연구를 통해 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 전반적으로 목표의 중요성에 대해 긍정적으로 지각하고 있었으며, 특히 책임감, 공정성, 정직성, 질서의식, 인간존중 태도의 순으로 중요하게 지각하고 있었다. 반면에 중요성에 있어서 낮게 지각된 교육목표는 기본학습능력, 과학적 탐구능력, 심미적 태도, 고상한 취미, 강인한 의지의 순이었다. 2. 학교실제에서 잘 실현되고 있다고 지각된 목표는 투철한 국가의식, 기본학습능력, 질서의식, 기초지식과 기술, 책임감의 순으로 냐타났으며, 등한시 되고 있는 목표는 고상한 취미, 과학적 탐구능력, 풍부한 정서, 진로개척의 능력, 심미적 태도의 순으로 나타났다. 학교실제에 있어서의 교육목표 실현정도에 대한 집단별 경향을 보면, 세집단 중에서 학부모 집단이 가장 긍정적인 반응을 보였으며, 그 다음이 학생집단, 교사집단은 가장 부정적인 반응을 보였다. 3. 교육목표의 중요도와 실현도간의 차이를 검증해 본 결과 모두 통계적으로 의의있는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상과 현실간의 차이가 가장 크다고 지각된 목표는 고상한 취미, 풍부한 정서, 진로 개척의 능력, 인간존중태도, 건강한 신체의 순으로 나타났다. 4. 교육목표의 중요도와 실현도에 있어서의 집단간 차이에 대한 유의도를 검증해 본 결과 중요도에 대한 집단간 지각경향에 있어서는 통계적으로 의의있는 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 실현도에 있어서는 두번째 영역, 즉 지력과 기술의 배양을 제외한 각 영역에서 집단간 지각정도에 유의한 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다.
