북한의 정치사회화에 관한 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the nature and method of political socialization for the youth in North Korea. This thesis is divided into four parts. The first part deals with the concept of political socialization in North Korea. Political socialization in North Korea refers to the process in which the human beings is molded into a particular type of persons who behave according to Marxist-Lensit ideology of well as the Kim Il-Sung Chuche ideology. The second part attmpts to discuss the nature and methods of the cult of Kim Il-Sung and this son, Kim chung-Il. This part attempts to make typology of the process of cult of the Kim dynasty! period of adoptation of Marxist-Lenist ideology; period of intensive personal cult of the Kims. The third part discusses the method of socialization in North Korea. The students are socialized through regular school education, social training and mass media. In the regular school education students learn the principles of communism and revolutionary traditions. They also learn the spirit of revolution and Anti-America through intensive campaigning in Work-places and mass media. The last part deals with the agents of socialization in North Korea. The family as an important socializing agent is Weakened to a great extent. Instead, schools, mass media, Work-places, and discussion-groups play the major role in molding individuals into blind obedience of Kim Il-Sung and his son Kim Chung-Il. In the conclusion, the study foresees that the current method and practice of molding individuals into blind communist through training of communist ideology and intensive campaigning for the cult of the Kims could not be changed in the near future However we hope that those mthods and practice as well as goals of socialization could be changed inn the long men because international environments will eventually loosen up the North Korean society.;본 논문에서는 북한정권 수립이래 끊임없이 강화되어온 김일성 절대권력체제를 위한 북한청소년 정치사회화 방법과 그 유형을 분석하며 북한정치사회화의 실제에 관한 연구로 정치사회화의 초기단계인 유아기에서 청년기까지의 정치사회화 기관을 분석하려는데 목적이 있다. 본 논문의 구성은 크게 네 부분으로 나뉘어져 있다. 제 2장에서는 북한의 정치사회화를 분석하기 위해 북한에서의 정치사회화 개념을 고찰한다. 북한에서의 정치사회화는 공산주의 기본원칙에 따른 치밀한 계획성에 따라 뚜렷한 시범성과 특유한 집단성이 강조되며, 사회화작업은 일생을 통해 계속 추진된다. 이는 인간을 특정도식에 따라 주형화 하는 것으로 궁극적으로는 정치사회화의 목표를 수단적이며 도구적인 공산주의적 인간조형에 두고 있는 것이다. 전인민의 공산주의화, 전인민의 혁명화, 전인민의 노동계급화, 전인민의 김일성 신격화와 족벌우상화를 통해 공산주의적 민간으로 조형화 하고 있다. 제 3장에서는 북한정치사회화 정책의 시대구분에 따른 분석으로 공산주의 모방기, 혁명전통교양확립기, 유일사상 체계 확립기를 통해 김왕조 세습확립기의 문제를 분석한다. 제 4장에서는 북한의 정치사회화 방법과 그 유형에 관한 분석이다. 정치사회화 방법은 정규학교 수업과 사회교육, 매체교육방법으로 크게 대별할 수 있고, 정규학교 교육방법에는 정규수업을 통해서 공산주의 이론과 혁명전통 교양을 익히게 하고, 노동활동을 통해서는 반제 및 혁명정신을 고취시키고 단체생활을 통한 집단주의 교양과 당 정책을 숙지시키며 행사교육을 통해서는 김일성에 대한 충성을 맹철시키고 있다. 방법유형으로는 교수활동을 통한 방법과 과외활동을 통한 방법으로 분류할수 있다. 자유세계 교육에 대한 편견위에서 교육방법의 정당화를 피하고 천체주의 교육의 전형적 슬로우건인 '목적은 수단을 정당화한다.'는 원칙하에 수행되는 북한의 정치사회화 방법은 인간들의 사상형성에 영향을 미치는 모든 요인들을 통제하는 면이 있지만 이런 폐쇄적인 통제는 통제의 질서가 일부 흔들릴 경우 전체가 일시에 붕괴될 가능성이 있다는 큰 한계점을 지니고 있다. 제 5장에서는 북한의 실제 정치사회화 기관에 대한 분석이다. 북한의 정치사회화 기관은 무의도적이며, 비공식적인 기관은 전통문화, 가정교육 기능 등의 말살 정책으로 그 기능이 약화되고 당의 감시와 통제를 받는 의도적이며 공식적인 학교, 사회단체 기관의 기능은 강화되고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 즉 북한의 모든 기관은 명시적인 내용을 바탕으로 하는 정치적 교화( Political indoctrination)의 형식을 취한 의도적인 정치사회화 기관이라고 단언해도무리가 아니다. 결론으로, 출생하면서부터 북한사회에 적응하도록 모든 세대들을 마르코스·레닌주의로 단련하고 혁명적으로 교양하여 공산주의적 인간조형에 박차를 가하는 조직적이고 획일적이며 중앙통제의 형태를 취한 북한의 정치사회화의 연속은 당분간은 그 변화란 어렵다고 하겠으나 북한을 둘러싼 내외환경, 인간의 본성이라는 것을 고려한다면 장기적으로 변화하게 될 가능성을 배제할 수 없다.
