초등학교 저학년생을 위한 창의성 검사개발 예비 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 초등학교 1·2·3학년 아동들의 창의적 성향을 알아보기 위한 한 가지 접근방법으로 아동의 발달 특성을 고려한 측정도구를 개발하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이제까지 창의성과 관련된 측정도구들은 성인들의 창의적 특성을 기준으로 하여 객관적인 능력검사나 인성특성을 분리하여 측정하는 형태로 제작되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 아동의 창의성에 대해 발달단계에 적절한 새로운 정의를 내리고, 창의성과 관련된 인지적 영역과 정의적 영역을 통합적으로 측정하기 위한 다원적 척도개발을 시도하였다. 또한 아동이 흥미를 가지고 자신의 생각이나 행동을 쉽게 나타낼 수 있고, 실재 교육 현장에서 실시하기 용이한 도구 개발을 목표로 하였다. 우선 문헌 연구를 통하여 아동의 창의성을 창의성의 인지적 영역과 인성영역, 그리고 학습동기영역의 세 영역으로 구성하였으며, 하위요인으로는 인지적 영역에 지식, 확산적 사고, 맥락적 사고 요인, 인성영역에 탐구심, 상상력, 흥미다양성 요인, 그리고 학습동기영역으로는 내적 과제지향성의 단일 요인으로 구성하였다. 이를 토대로 하여 초등학교 저학년 아동이 쉽게 검사에 반응할 수 있는 객관식 형태의 검사 도구를 제작하여 이에 대한 타당화 검증을 하였다. 본 연구의 대상으로는 예비시행을 위해서는 서울 지역의 3개 초등학교에 다니고 있는 초등학교 2학년과 3학년 남녀 아동 301명이 선정되었으며, 본시행을 위해서는 서울과 경기 지역의 6개 초등학교에 다니고 있는 2, 3학년 남녀 아동 445명이 선정되었다. 본 연구에서 사용된 검사는 내용타당도 검증을 거친 후, 예비시행과 본시행의 실시를 통하여 구인타당도를 검토하고, 신뢰도는 Cron- bach의 α를 구하였다. 창의성 검사의 실시에 따른 자료 분석 결과, '초등학교 저학년 아동을 위한 창의성 검사'는 창의성의 인지적 영역과 정의적 영역의 두 영역으로 구성하고, 인지적 영역은 지식, 확산적 사고, 그리고 맥락적 사고의 세 개의 요인으로, 창의성의 정의적 영역은 탐구심, 상상력, 그리고 흥미다양성의 세 개의 요인을 구성하는 것이 타당한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 집단 전체의 점수분포는 정상적인 분포를 보이고 있어 본 검사가 측정하고자 하는 특성은 전형적인 개인차 변인임을 나타내었고, 아동의 창의적 특성에 대한 정도 차이를 잘 드러낼 수 있을 것으로 나타났다. 학년간의 비교에서 학년차는 거의 보이지 않아 본 검사는 초등학교 저학년을 대상으로 동일한 특성을 측정하기에 타당한 것으로 볼 수 있다. 마지막으로, 창의성 검사의 고득점자 집단과 저득점자 집단을 서로 비교할 때, 영역별 구성요인의 프로파일의 형태가 거의 동일함을 보이는 것은 본 검사가 포함하고 있는 요인들이 아동의 전반적인 창의성 수준에 관계없이 동일한 비중으로 구성되어 있음을 보여 주는 증거로 볼 수 있다.;This study was to develop a test to measure the creative trait of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades students in elementary school, considering children's developmental characteristics. Until now the tests for creativity were either objective abilities tests or creative personality tests, which were made based on adults' creative personality. This study was to set up a new definition of creativity appropriate to children's developmental stages and initiate a multidimensional test measuring the confluence of the cognitive domain and emotional domain, which were related to creativity. This test will also make children express their traits of thoughts or actions without difficulty and be able to be used easily and efficiently at schools. After the literature reviews three domains of creativity were constructed; cognitive domain, personality domain, and task motivational domain. There were also sub-domains, such as knowledge, divergent thinking and contextual thinking in cognitive domain, exploration, imagination, and varied interests in personality domain, and internal task motivation in task motivational domain. The subjects were 301 boys and girls in 3 elementary schools in Seoul for the preliminary test, and 445 boys and girls in 6 elementary schools in Seoul and the Kyungki area for the study. The subjects for both tests were 2nd and 3rd grade students. First the content validity of the measurement was examined, and then the construct validity and Cronbach's α were tested through the study. As results of two domains of creativity, cognitive domain and affective domain, were confirmed, all the sub-domains of the two domains were validated. The distribution of scores of the entire subjects showed a normal curve, indicating typical individual differences . This test will discriminate certain traits of children which would be measured. Between 2nd graders and 3rd graders, the test scores were quite similar, except for slight differences in knowledge and contextual thinking. The result tells that this test is appliable for 2nd and 3rd graders. Finally, there was no difference between the group of the high scores and the group of the low scores in the distribution of scores in each domain. It can be concluded that all the sub-domains of included in this measurement test are structured similar portion in creative traits of all levels of students.
