敎會學校 兒童部 現況에 關한 硏究

Abstract

本 硏究의 目的은 敎會學校 幼兒部敎育 現況을 調査·分析하여 앞으로의 基督敎 幼兒敎育의 方向을 제시하기 위한 基礎資料를 提供하기 위한 것이다. 이러한 目的으로 關係文獻을 통하여 幼兒의 宗敎的 成長過程의 特徵, 幼兒와 敎會學校 敎育에 關하여 理論的인 考察을 하였고, 이에 따라 다음과 같은 問題를 設定하였다. 1. 幼兒部 프로그램의 組織은 어떻게 되어 있으며 監理敎, 長老敎, 聖潔敎, 세 敎派間에는 어떠한 차이점이 있는가? 2. 幼兒部 敎師의 背景과 熊度는 어떠하며 세 교파간에 차이점이 있는가? 3. 幼兒部의 施說·設備는 어느 정도 구비되어 있으며 세 교파간에 차이점이 있는가? 問題分析을 위하여 본 조사는 서울特別市에 所在한 監理敎, 長老敎, 聖潔敎에 속한 敎會學校 幼兒部 部長 209名과 敎師 441名을 대상으로 질문지 조사를 실시하였다. 조사의 結果는 다음과 같다. 1. 幼兒部 크기는 보통 50名 以上으로 큰 편이나 分班하여 指導하는 경우는 적었다. 2. 敎育時間은 一般的으로 1주에 1회로 2시간 이하이고 全般的인 프로그램이 幼兒의 特殊性을 고려하지 않고 있는 경향이다. 3. 大部分의 幼兒部는 거의 같은 敎材를 使用하고 있으며 敎師들의 大部分은 使用하는 敎材에 대하여 큰 문제를 느끼지 않으나 一部에서는 (23.8%) 불만을 表示하기도 했다. 이유로는 內容이 幼兒에게 잘 맞지않고 活動資料에 대한 具體的인 提示가 아쉽다는 점등을 들고 있다. 4. 敎師의 年齡은 20代 初로써 自發的인 動機로 敎師가 된 경우가 많고 대부분 敎職에 滿足하고 있다. 그러나 幼兒敎育에 대한 전문적 知識이 不足함을 절실히 느끼고 있고 敎師會議도 계획성 있게 매주 갖는 경우가 적었다. 5. 專用 敎室이 없는 경우가 반수 이상이며 놀이자료등 施設·設備가 아주 미약한 상태이다. 6. 이상의 경우에서 모두 교파별로 의의있는 차이를 나타냈다. 즉 長老敎는 幼兒部 크기, 조직적인 敎師會議, 自發的 動機로 敎師가 된 경우에서 우세 하였으나 施說·設備 면에서 가장 미비했고 監理敎는 施設·設備面이 우세하였으나 自發的 動機로 된 敎師가 비교적 적었으며, 성결교는 幼兒部 크기는 가장 작은 반면에 1주에 3회 모이는 경우도 있었다. 프로그램 진행상에서는 놀이시간을 갖는 경우는 監理敎가 가장 높고, 聖經工夫時間을 갖는 경우는 長老敎가 우세하며 작업이나 律動時間을 갖는 경우는 聖潔敎가 높은 반응을 보였다. 敎材使用에 있어서는 장로교·성결교는 共通的으로 주로 계단공과를 사용하며 監理敎는 계단공과를 사용하는 경우가 가장 많았으나 나머지는 교회마다 서로 다른 공과를 사용하는 경향이었다. 이상과 같은 結論에 의하여 다음과 같은 提言을 할 수 있다. 1. 敎師가 集團을 이루어 學習하기에 적당한 크기로 分班하여 指導할 것을 권장한다. 2. 各 교단의 敎育部나 基督敎敎育協會에서는 幼兒敎育 전문가와 함께 幼兒敎育 프로그램을 改發시키기 위한 체계적인 硏究를 실시할 것을 요망한다. 3. 幼兒部 敎師외 選定基準이 設定되어야 하며 事前 敎育 및 再 敎育의 實施가 要望된다. 4. 幼兒가 敎會에서 즐거운 經驗을 갖을 수 있도록 各 敎會마다 基本的 空間과 施誤·設備를 갖출 것을 요망한다. 5. 각 교파 간에는 프로그램의 組織, 敎師問題, 施設·設備 면에서 차이를 보이고 있는바 효과적인 교육실시를 위하여 이의 주요한 원인을 規明 할 수 있는 계속적인 硏究가 요청된다.;The objectives of this research are to find out facts about church school education of kindergarten children in Korea during the year of 1989. to interprote the findings, and to provide useful guidelines to search for the right direction toward the better christian education in the future. Through literature review about characteristics of christian child development and christian education of kindergarten children, questions to be answered were decided as follows : 1. How are the educational programs of kindergarten department organized and what are the differences in the programs among denominations such as Methodist, Presbyterian and Holiness church? 2. What are the background and attitude of teachers and are there any differences among denominations? 3. In what degree are the educational facilities and materials equipped and what are the differences among denominations? To find out the answer for the questions the survey was carried out by questionnaires for 209 department superintendents and 441 staffs of kindergarten department in Methodist, Presbyterian and Holiness churches which are all located in the city of Seoul. The results are as follows : 1. The size of kindergarten department is almost over 50 children and there are a few cases that group teaching is carried out. 2. Class hour is not more than two hours at one time a week and characteristics of kindergarten are not fully taken into consideration in the all over program. 3. Most of the kindergarten department use the same text book and most of teachers seem to be satisfied with it. However some of them (23.8%) begin to recognize problems in curriculum because the content of the text is not well fit to kindergarten and have no concrete guidance for specially activity program. 4. The age of teachers is in her twenties, and most of them become a teacher by voluntary motive, and they are satisfied with their services as a teacher. However, they feel that they terribly need professional knowledge about kindergarten education. They dontt have teacherts meeting regularly except a few exceptional case. 5. More than 50% of the surveyed church have no the exclusive room for kindergarten, and toys and materials for play are very poor. 6. The survey indicate that there are meaningful differences in the research results as the above among denominations. The kindergarten departments of Presbyterian Church gain the better points in the size of the department, systematic teacherts meeting and voluntary motive to become a teacher, but gain the worst points in facilities and teaching materials. Methodist kindergarten departments have better resources and facilities, but the number of teachers who become a teacher voluntarily relatively few. In the case of the Holiness Church, the size of the kindergarten department is the smallest, but there are some churches that have class 3 times a week. In the content of the program, the number of the cases that have play time in the class is high in Methodist, Bible Study is high in Presbyterians, rhythm movement time is high in the Holiness Church. Several recommendations are made on the base of the above results. 1. It is advisable that the classes are to be divided into the small groups when it has the large number of children. 2. It is needed that the education organization of the each denomination and Christian Education Association together with christian child educate specialist carry out systematic research in order to develop christian education program for kindergarten children. 3. The criteria by which a teacher is selected must be set up. Pre-education for a teacher must be performed before she becomes a teacher. Re-education is also required after she becomes a teacher. 4. Every church should provide basic space, facilities and resources for children to have joyful experience in the church. 5. Since each denomination has unique characteristics in the areas of the program organizing, teacher's problems and facilities, further research on, what are the major factors which contribute to the differences is required to perform Christian Education, more effectively.
