유아의 기질과 스트레스 행동과의 관계

Abstract

본 연구는 만 5세 유아들의 기질과 스트레스 행동과의 관계를 알아보고, 유아의 기질에 따라 나타나는 스트레스 행동의 차이를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이와 같은 연구 목적에 따라 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 1. 유아의 기질과 스트레스 행동간에는 어떤 관계가 있는가? 2. 유아의 기질에 따라 스트레스 행동에 차이가 있는가? 본 연구의 대상은 서울에 위치한 M유치원의 만 5세 2학급의 유아 42명이다. 연구 도구로는 기질 검사 도구와 스트레스 행동 관찰 도구를 사용하였다. 기질 검사 도구는 Tomas와 Chess(1977)에 의해 제작된 것을 원영미(1989)가 번역·수정한 부모용 및 교사용 유아 기질 질문지를 사용하였고, 스트레스 행동 관찰 도구로는 Burts와 그의 동료(1990) 등에 의해서 제작된 것을 이윤경(1992)이 번역·수정하여 사용한 CCSBI(Classroom Child Stress Behavior of Children)를 실내 자유 선택 활동 시간에 맞는 문항만을 선택한 이현정(1997)의 것을 다시 수정·삭제하여 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 pearson의 적률 상관관계, t - 검증에 의해 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 유아의 기질과 스트레스 행동간에는 밀접한 상관관계가 있음이 보여졌다. 기질의 각 범주와 유아의 스트레스 행동과의 관계를 살펴보면 유아의 빈번한 전체 스트레스 행동은 낮은 리듬성과 적응성, 접근-철회, 기분 상태, 주의 전환성, 집중·지속성과 관계가 있었다. 그 중에서 빈번한 소극적 스트레스 행동은 낮은 활동 수준, 리듬성, 적응성, 접근-철회, 반응역, 기분 상태와 관계가 있었고, 빈번한 적극적 스트레스 행동은 낮은 기분 상태, 주의 전환성와 높은 활동 수준 및 반응 강도와 관련에 있었다. 2. 순한 기질의 유아와 까다로운 기질의 유아는 스트레스 행동의 빈도에 있어 차이가 있었다. 특히, 까다로운 유아는 순한 유아에 비해 적극적 스트레스 행동, 타인에 대한 스트레스 행동, 물체에 대한 스트레스 행동을 많이 보였다. 이상에서 살펴본 바에 의하면 유아의 기질과 스트레스 행동은 밀접한 관계가 있으며, 유아의 기질에 따라 스트레스 행동에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.;The purpose of this study is to discover the relationships between children's temperament and stress behaviors, the differences in the stress behaviors between the difficult children and the easy children which manifest in kindergarten. With this in mind, the following questions have been designed： 1. Are there any relationships between children's temperament and stress behaviors? 2. Are there any differences in the stress behaviors between the difficult children and the easy children? The subject of this study are 42 children at M kindergarten in Seoul. The temperament of children was measured by using the questionnaire based on Thomas & Chess's(1977) 'Parent Temperament Questionnaire for Children 3-7 years of age' and 'Teacher Temperament Questionnaire for Children 3-7 years of age'. And the stress behaviors of children were observer through CCSBI(Classroom Child Stress Behavior of Children) which was created by Burts et al(1990). The data was analysed by Pearson's correlation analysis and two independent t-test. The result of this study are shown followed： 1. There was significant correlation between children's temperament and stress behaviors. There was significant correlation between low rhythmicity, adaptability, approach or withdrawal, quality of mood, distactability, attention span and persistent and Children's frequent stress behaviors 2. There are some differences in the stress behaviors in the frequencies of stress behaviors between the difficult children and the easy children. The difficult children expressed much more the whole stress behaviors, the active behaviors, the self with other stress behaviors, the self with object stress behaviors than the easy children. The study was concluded that there are significant correlation between, children's temperament and there are stress behaviors and are some differences in the stress behaviors in the frequencies of stress behaviors between the difficult children and the easy children.
